Lisäksi PAKO 3:n ääniraita, jonka on tuottanut DKSTR, täydentää pelin tunnelmaa synteettisillä biiteillä.

  2. Helsinkiläisen Tree Men Gamesin alunperin mobiilille kehittämä PAKO 3 on tulossa Steam-alustalle, tarjoten pelaajille neljä erilaista pelitilaa: pakoautonkuljettaja, kilpa-ajo, selviytyminen ja alueet.

8. I've already mentioned the Dead Kennedys as one of my favorite bands, due to their politics and music. Another, and for the same reasons, is #Crass. I don't know them nearly as well as I do the DKs; I've only got one best of double CD set in my collection though I did skip through more of their catalog when I was a DJ. This one has always been one of my favorites...

At skrive noter hjælper mig efter at have overlevet et #stroke – to blodpropper i hjernen – i 2021.

  11. Devil’s Kitchen

Something evil may be cooking up in places given the name of the “Devil’s Kitchen”. In this piece, I examine some of the most famous locations that have earned this unpleasant name. It sounds like someplace you don’t want to end up but in reality, the various “DKs” are geologically interesting and fascinating places.

There are three places in Utah called Devil’s Kitchen. One in Millard County is a volcanic formation named for the unusual sound that the rocks made when wagons crossed it – “like tapping on a drumhead or on the flat tin roof of the devil’s kitchen”. Some of the boulders along the Devil’s Kitchen fault scarp here contain petroglyphs. The Devil’s Pocket trail in the Canyonlands National Park near Moab “is a little like walking down a long, wide racetrack, with parallel walls of sandstone that rise along either side like bleachers for the imaginary spectators”. This leads to another “kitchen” featuring a quite place of rounded blobs and tall spires of banded rock. But the most popular DK in UT is the scenic sculpted rock landscape with pillars of red sandstone along the Nebo Scenic Loop in the Uinta State Forest. Consisting of a red, iron-rich conglomerate, the outlook is accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, and kids.

The red hoodoos formed by erosion, can look like fantastic figures. (Utah Geo Survey)

The Devil’s Kitchen in Sedona, Arizona is a vertical sinkhole that appeared in the early 1880s due to a sudden collapse of the rock cave roof. It expanded with another collapse in 1989. The area is considered unstable. The limestone weathered deep under the surface and is not obvious through the overlying sandstone. More unstable hidden areas may exist in the area.

Five miles east of Greybull, Wyoming, is a dry and barren badlands landscape. It’s “bad land” as plants don’t grow. The land is steep slopes and ravines, with colorful spires of rock. The Devil’s Kitchen here is an asymmetric anticline. The Geology of Wyoming site says “Devil’s Kitchen was originally known by the less dramatic name of Shell Dome, but tourist attractions need a name that is hot and spicy.” Oil wells drilled here came up empty but you may find dinosaur gizzard stones called gastroliths among the colorful layers.

It’s not clear how the Devil’s Kitchen of Burlington, Connecticut got its name. But one blogger thinks it derived from either the treacherous steep walls or the abundance of biting insects.

The Devil’s Kitchen Lake in Illinois is one of the deepest lakes in the state – up to 90 feet –  formed from glacial downstream effects. Swimming is dangerous (and banned) because of the cold deep water and various tree stumps that remain under the water. The Natives believed the lake had a sinister nature.

At Mackinac Island, Michigan, a small shallow cave called Devil’s Kitchen was formed in breccia limestone. The cave formed during the Nipissing post-glacial period by the waves of Lake Huron. It consists of two hollows on top of each other, resembling a face with a giant maw. Local legends say that the Natives considered the cave inhabited by evil cannibalistic spirits with soot on the outside marking the cooking fires – hence the name, ‘Devil’s Kitchen.’

…for in this cave lived the Red Geebis, who were cannibal giants. The Geebis were known to roast and eat humans inside this cave. [Source]

But it’s not clear if these tales are genuine lore or made up much later. The cave is currently on dry land.

The most appropriately hot and steamy site called Devil’s Kitchen is within the Lassen volcanic area in a place that resembles hell – with steaming fumeroles, boiling pools, bubbling mudpots and sulphur deposits. Red algae growing in the nutrient-rich waters may look ominous. This is a geothermal area where acidic hot springs have eaten away the rock to form pits. The site gets its name from the sounds and smells of various things “cooking” in the earth, including you, if you take a bad step. A visitor was badly burned in 2010. An even larger thermal area in the park is called Bumpass Hell named after the poor soul who burned his leg so badly there in the 1860s.

The three dials give the keypad both its utility and modern flare. The RGB lighting effects helps illuminate your setup. The Cybrix29 features three separate RGB systems that can be easily customized through onboard commands. Each of the 29 keys, the light bar on top, and the acrylic base have separate customizable RGB profiles. Review

If you are looking to upgrade your game, or a tool to help your productivity, the Cybrix29 is the perfect tool for you.

    Looks

KiiBOOM is a master of creating aesthetically high-quality keyboards, and the Cybrix29 is no exception. The keypad is very well made with a light weight design that makes it perfect for travel. The colors are all bright and the lettering is clear. The quality of the keycaps gives me confidence that it won’t fade in the near future. The RGB makes the keyboard fun. The colors are vibrant, and the customization options give the keypad its versatility. There is a Cybrix29 configuration for every setup.

My only complaint is that it is a wired connection. I don’t like having too much wire clutter, but it is the price to pay for a high speed low-latency connection. However, it is a price I am willing to pay because this keypad is a beast of a machine.

    Performance

If you are looking for a tool to give you a competitive edge or just want a more comfortable gaming experience, the Cybrix29 is a fantastic upgrade. The wire connection gives the keypad its negligible latency. You might need to do a bit of remapping, but the keypad has most of the keys you need for the games you play. I end up remapping a lot of what I play, so it wasn’t a huge deal.

The Cybrix29 features a fantastic out of the box experience, but being able to remap and reprogram the keys is nice to have and easy to do. The adjustable actuation and sensitivity as well as the advanced features (Snap Key (SOCD) and Dynamic Keystroke (DKS) support) make it a very powerful gaming tool. I didn’t feel the need to make any adjustments, but they are available for those who need it. Just make sure the game allows it first.

Although I don’t have a real way to test it, the Cybrix29 has the potential to be a powerful macro pad. The three dials are very handy for editing, and being able to remap everything certainly has its value. If you are looking for a powerful daily driver that looks good and is low profile, check out the Cybrix29.

    Comfort

The most important feature of any keyboard is its comfort, and the Cybrix29 is comfortable. The keycaps feel great, and the switches have enough resistance to not only be satisfying, but they don’t create any fatigue. I was able to game for long hours without any hand pain. The sound is loud enough to be satisfying without being overbearing. My wife appreciates that it doesn’t fill the house with the thacking I love so much.

    Conclusion

I love the Cybrix29 and it will be my daily driver for my main games. I have it configured just right for Guild Wars 2, and with the new expansion out, I am going to be spending a lot of time in Tyria. A keypad this size is a great option for those who need a macropad to play with, or for those who don’t want to buy a full sized keyboard. The size makes it a functional gaming peripheral, and its design makes it easy to store. It is also a very good for travel, if you don’t want to carry a full sized keyboard. With a bit of tinkering, the Cybrix29 can handle any game and task, making it the perfect tool for those who need it.

You can pick up the Cybrix29 on the official KiiBOOM store. They are currently having a huge sale until November 12, so now is the perfect time to pick up this or any of the other fine KiiBOOM products. You can also pick it up on Amazon through my affiliate link, but it is cheaper on KiiBOOM during the sale.

The low profile aluminum body not only looks good, but will keep your desk a bit more clutter free. They Cybrix29 is available in three colors: pink, silver and black. I chose to review it in pink, but it was a very tough choice to make.

The three dials give the keypad both its utility and modern flare. The RGB lighting effects helps illuminate your setup. The Cybrix29 features three separate RGB systems that can be easily customized through onboard commands.

Luckily, the HE68 lite promises to do both at a very reasonable price point.

    Review

Users might be disappointed by the HE68 Lite at first glace. The keyboard feels like cheap plastic, but it looks well made. The keys are printed clearly and everything else is well machined. The light weight design does make it ideal for travel, and it does feel sturdy enough to survive a few trips.

Using the keyboard might bring a bit more disappointment. If you’ve used good switches before, the HE68 feels cheap. Typing sounds like plastic pieces banging against each other, so don’t expect that satisfying clacking you’d get from a nicer mechanical keyboard. The switches also feel a little stiff. Adjusting the actuation helps, but out of the box experience isn’t satisfying. That said, the keyboard is comfortable enough to use, even for long sprints. It may not be strictly ergonomic, but it didn’t trigger my repetitive stress injury like other cheap keyboards have done.

As for the keyboards performance, you are getting a powerful contender at the price point. There was ghosting and the HE68 proved very responsive. It was able to handle my level of competitive as well as my everyday workflow without issue.

At this price point, you aren’t doing much better. They keyboard works well out of the box and has a few interesting features that give it a respectable amount of versatility. If you are looking for an affordable gaming keyboard or something you can travel with, I don’t think you can find much better than the HE68 Lite gaming keyboard.

You can pick up the HE68 Lite on the official Epomaker website, or on Amazon through my affiliate link.

    Review

The M75 is a fantastic wired keyboard, and a strong contender for a best budget gaming keyboard. The keyboard sports a cool design with a fun color scheme. I like the color scheme, but it isn’t going to be for everyone. The extra wire clutter is also going to be an issue for some folks, but the performance it gets more than makes up for it. It may not match my current aesthetic, but I am very pleased with the performance. The switches have a very soothing sound, and they feel great to the touch. The keyboard layout may not be strictly ergonomic, but I had no issues with hand pain. This is one of the most comfortable keyboards I’ve tried, and I struggle heavily with my repetitive stress injury.

I didn’t notice any latency in gaming. I don’t play at a very competitive level, but it was able to handle all the games I threw at it with no issues. It was very good for Guild Wars 2 PVE content at least. I didn’t mess with any of the the advanced features because I don’t want to risk getting banned, but they are available if that is how you have fun. Overall, I am very happy with the Mechlands M75, and it is definitely going to be my main keyboard for a bit. It is comfortable, cool looking, and it does the job.

If you are looking for your own MechLands M75, pick it up on official MechLands website.

  24. The Maoists attacked an anti-guerrilla camp in Pusuguppa, a village on the edge of the forest in Charla Mandal (Telangana state), on Monday night. Security forces occupying the camp returned fire, and the shooting was intense. The Maoists used homemade rifle grenades, some of which did not explode (photo). After the attack, police intensified joint combing operations with CRPF anti-guerrilla paramilitaries in the forests straddling the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border. In addition, a police informer named Soyam Pandu, from Bhandarpadar village, Sukmas district, Bastar State, was executed by the Maoists on Wednesday.

Also on Monday, three guerrillas were killed in the forests of Abujhmarh in the Narayanpur district, on the border between Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. Abujhmarh is known as the “Unknown Hill” because this dense 6,000 km² jungle has not been studied since British times. The jungle is the epicenter of Maoist activities in the region. One of the Maoists killed at the meeting was identified as Rupesh, a member of the Dandakaranya Special Area Committee (DKSZC). He was the commander of the DKZSC Western Sub-Area, which operated mainly in the Gadchiroli district of the state of Maharashtra. A bounty on his head was put on a price of 25 million euros. The second Maoist was identified as Jagdish, whose arrest was worth a reward of 16 million euros.
