#2 Popcorn in Bed Reacts To U-571 – Speaking of historical fiction, have you seen the movie U-571? When that movie was released in 2000, it only reminded me of other submarine movies like Das Boot, The Hunt For Red October and Crimson Tide. The movie directed by Jonathan Mostow and starring Matthew McConaughey made a lot of buzz when it opened at #1 in the American box office and that success influenced a lot of moviegoers here in the Philippines to watch it in local cinemas. I never saw U-571 but I noticed how much of an impact it had on Popcorn in Bed’s reaction video which I encourage you to watch.

#3 Japan Pushes Back Against Islam – There is a disturbing trend that has been happening in Japan that their local media and the international news organizations are not telling you…the Islamic foreigners there have been causing a series of disturbances such as occupying public spaces for Muslim prayers/gatherings, littering, rape, the construction of an illegal mosque and more. That said, there are lots of Japanese nationalists and concerned citizens who are fighting back and expressing demands and complaints to their government officials. #5 When Hollywood Released Two Similar Movies In 1998 – Way back in 1998, moviegoers worldwide saw two movies from Hollywood that had similar concepts about the world getting hit by something from deep space. The movies were Deep Impact and Armageddon, and they were released in the same summer box office season in America. Deep Impact was more dramatic and tried hard to be believable while Armageddon was highly exaggerated and had Michael Bay’s flair all over it. The two films were released at a time when disaster movies had a resurgence and they used computer-generated images to make realize their respective visual concepts. #6 You, Me And The Movies React To Ghost In The Shell (1995) – There are many reasons why the 1995 anime feature film Ghost in the Shell is very significant. The adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s literary Ghost in the Shell was made with very high production values under the direction of Mamoru Oshii, the story had many futuristic concepts that became very relevant today, and it was very influential for many Hollywood filmmakers. That said, I liked how the anime feature film drew reactions from You, Me and the Movies, and their reaction video is a must-see!

#7 Casablanca Reaction Video Of EOM Reacts – There is nothing like watching a classic, black-and-white movie like Casablanca. Set in French Morocco, the story follows many characters dealing with the uncertainty of war and it is inside the nightclub and gambling den of American expatriate Rick Blaine where a lot of developments happened. The 1942 movie is memorable with its top-notch stars (Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman are phenomenal), the dramatic plot, the immersive settings and many iconic lines and moments. I have seen the movie a few times already on 4K Blu-ray format and I enjoyed watching EOM Reacts’ video of it. Go watch his video below.

#8 Soba Getting Reinvented In Japan – Soba – a Japanese noodle made from buckwheat flour – is getting reinvented in Japan as the traditional shops there are struggling with the rising costs of ingredients as well as a growing shortage of successors to the operators. In an effort to stay in business while avoiding raising prices, the surviving soba restaurants (and some new ones) there are reinventing the dining experience and doing other things to preserve the traditional soba culture. #10 Atari Jaguar CD Revisited – While I played a lot of games of Atari (both on Atari 2600 console and arcade games) in my life, I never owned an Atari Jaguar nor its CD-ROM add-on device. Indeed, there was a time in the 1990s when Atari got back in console gaming starting with the Jaguar console that operated with games in cartridge format. "Since Trump signed the orders, the Navajo Nation has accelerated efforts to establish a dedicated energy office. "The attempt to expand coal mining on the Navajo Nation for 110 years comes after President Donald Trump signed his executive order Reinvigorating America’s Beautiful Clean Coal Industry and Amending Executive Order 14241 in April 2025.
"The order said that to keep the U.S. economy strong, protect national security, and lower living costs, the country needs to produce more energy at home, including coal. Another order, 'Immediate Measures to Increase American Mineral Production,' was signed in March, aiming to accelerate domestic production of critical minerals by streamlining permitting, financing, and federal land use processes.
"Since Trump signed the orders, the Navajo Nation has accelerated efforts to establish a dedicated energy office. While the idea had been discussed under previous administrations, it has only recently gained momentum. The office would function as a centralized body to coordinate energy policy, regulatory oversight and long-term energy development.
"Other actions by Navajo Nation leadership aimed at engaging with this renewed federal focus include holding public hearings on the potential revitalization of coal and continuing work related to #uranium production and the cleanup of legacy #contamination."

Władze Cheyenne w stanie Wyoming ogłosiły plany budowy centrum danych dla sztucznej inteligencji, którego zapotrzebowanie na energię przekroczy zużycie wszystkich gospodarstw domowych w tym stanie USA.
Projekt, realizowany przez firmę energetyczną Tallgrass i dewelopera centrów danych Crusoe (to właśnie Campus Crusoe w Abilene, w Teksasie jest widoczny na zdjęciu otwierającym niniejszą informację), ma stać się jednym z największych tego typu obiektów na świecie, ilustrując rosnący apetyt energetyczny technologii AI.
Skala projektu jest trudna do wyobrażenia dla najmniej zaludnionego stanu USA. Początkowa faza zakłada zużycie 1,8 gigawata mocy, co rocznie daje 15,8 terawatogodzin (TWh) – to ponad pięciokrotnie więcej niż zużywają wszystkie domy w Wyoming. Ta liczba stanowi 91% obecnego zapotrzebowania na prąd wszystkich sektorów stanu – mieszkalnego, komercyjnego i przemysłowego. Docelowo centrum ma skalować się aż do 10 gigawatów, co przekłada się na 87,6 TWh rocznie – dwukrotność obecnej całkowitej produkcji energii elektrycznej w tym stanie.
Żebyśmy mogli sobie uzmysłowić o jakiej skali poboru energii mówimy, podam dla porównania, że według danych Polskich Sieci Elektroenergetycznych (PSE), w 2024 roku krajowe zużycie energii elektrycznej w Polsce wyniosło 168,96 TWh. Zatem planowane centrum danych w Wyoming będzie konsumować połowę (sic!) całego zużycia energii elektrycznej z 2024 roku.
Pobór tak ogromnej mocy z publicznej sieci byłby niemożliwy. Dlatego, jak informują przedstawiciele firm i lokalne władze, projekt będzie opierał się na własnych, dedykowanych źródłach energii, w tym na gazie ziemnym i odnawialnych źródłach energii. To fundamentalna zmiana dla Wyoming, które obecnie eksportuje blisko 60% produkowanej przez siebie energii do innych stanów. Gubernator Mark Gordon pochwalił projekt, wskazując na potencjalne korzyści dla lokalnego przemysłu gazowego.
Największą tajemnicą pozostaje jednak to, kto ostatecznie będzie korzystał z tak potężnej mocy obliczeniowej. Na rynku pojawiły się spekulacje, że centrum może być częścią projektu „Stargate” firmy OpenAI. Zapytany o to rzecznik Crusoe, Andrew Schmitt, nie potwierdził ani nie zaprzeczył tym doniesieniom, stwierdzając jedynie, że nie jest on na etapie, na którym byłby gotowy ogłosić najemcę takiej mocy obliczeniowej.
Choć Cheyenne, ze względu na chłodny klimat i dostęp do energii, przyciągnęło już centra danych Microsoftu i Mety, nowy projekt wkracza na zupełnie nowy poziom. Ilustruje on gigantyczny apetyt energetyczny nowoczesnej sztucznej inteligencji, który staje się jednym z największych wyzwań dla globalnej infrastruktury energetycznej.
