And don’t get me started on #ToDo apps. I’ve tried #Todoist, #Reminders and now I’m back to #Things3. I’ve bought it for #macOS and #iOS (I don’t use #iPadOS enough to warrant it), but Reminders has come a long way and it just works everywhere. With #iOS27 on the way, is it worth using stock apps?

For over ten years, #todoist has been blocked at work. Every so often, like once a year maybe even more, I try my luck and I get an error saying blocked by corporate etc.

Today, I randomly tried and it's working. So nice. Someone somewhere at work removed todoist from the block list.

So 😊 happy 😊

If you're a pro user of task manager #Todoist like me, you're probably dissatisfied too to hear they're increasing the price 106% to fund racing the LLM-bubble (so called AI features). I've been very satisfied using Todoist for 5+ years in private and at work and this has me looking seriously for an exit. Luckily, there are mature FOSS alternatives by now.

Nach ein paar Jahren Nutzung habe ich ToDoist jetzt den Rücken gekehrt. Nach vier Wochen Parallelbetrieb bin ich jetzt auf Super Productivity gewechselt. Daten liegen auf meinem eigenen Nextcloud-Server.

@reed I've tried #trello and I honestly didn't like the UI. I used #notion and it was too much for what I wanted and the app was clunky. I then used #emacs which is awesome but I wanted to be able to easily manage tasks from my phone and I couldn't find a good workflow.

#todoist is what I like using now. It can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. I really like the UI. It has good keyboard shortcuts. I highly recommend it. It has some useful AI features like breaking down a task into sub tasks. I haven't used it because it's not available on the phone app, and I rarely use the desktop app or the website. It also has this killer feature called Ramble where you can just keep talking to it and it'll create tasks. You can also take bulk actions on those tasks in the same ramble and say things like, "label all of them as work" or "set the due date to Saturday for the last task that was added". It's pretty cool.

Три недели с момента запуска MENO. В первой части было 120 пользователей и баги в парсинге. Во второй - 149 пользователей и новый онбординг. Сейчас - третья. Коротко: пользователей стало больше, бот стал чище, а с dev.to прилетел комментарий, который заставил задуматься. Это третья часть серии.

Looks like #Pikapods has a new #Todoist alternative, #Vikunja. Have been wanting a self-hosted task manager for ages, might check it out.

Although I have moved a lot of my stuff off of Pikapods to my own VPS or home server, I still like being able to try things easily via Pikapods without the struggle of initial setup.

Pues ya me cansé. Después de usar (en versión PRO) #Todoist y #TickTick, vuelvo a #AppleRecordatorios. Para el uso que le doy, no merece la pena pagar por las suscripciones PRO.
Libres autoalojadas, he probado Tududi y Tasktrove, pero lo de repetir tareas unos días concretos a la semana, no lo llevan bien y le falta maduración. Así que con la aplicación de #Apple voy más que servido.
