  1. Tasks non fa per me, torno a Todoist

Il mio ritorno a Tasks di Google è durato pochi mesi. Il tempo necessario per capire che tale strumento non fa per me...

  2. I’ve tried keeping tasks directly in #Obsidian, using #Todoist heavily, classic #GTD (as much as that’s actually possible), and the #PARA method.

They’re all good in their own way.

At this point, I should probably just admit that every year or year and a half, I simply enjoy switching tools 😅

  7. mindwtr.app is an open-source, self-hosted todo list with clients for web, desktop, and mobile. Written by a PhD candidate in NY. Follows GTD principles.

I'm looking to replace Todoist, so I need to check this out.

  12. And don’t get me started on apps. I’ve tried , and now I’m back to . I’ve bought it for and (I don’t use enough to warrant it), but Reminders has come a long way and it just works everywhere. With on the way, is it worth using stock apps?

  22. You know you're a nerd when you're on a week-long vacation from your job as a software engineer and find yourself:

    1. Deciding it's time to pick a new todo list app (bye bye, #todoist !)
    2. Selecting an open source one ( #superproductivity )
    3. Immediately opening four PRs to fix little issues you're seeing
    4. Deciding that programming is now your most important hobby going forward forever

  26. For over ten years, #todoist has been blocked at work. Every so often, like once a year maybe even more, I try my luck and I get an error saying blocked by corporate etc.

Today, I randomly tried and it's working. So nice. Someone somewhere at work removed todoist from the block list.

    So 😊 happy 😊

In other news, for some reasons, fizzy.do/ is still blocked.

Corporate IT security, it's so frustrating 🤯

  31. If you're a pro user of task manager #Todoist like me, you're probably dissatisfied too to hear they're increasing the price 106% to fund racing the LLM-bubble (so called AI features). I've been very satisfied using Todoist for 5+ years in private and at work and this has me looking seriously for an exit. Luckily, there are mature FOSS alternatives by now.
