  1. Over the next few weeks, I will be tooting A LOT about one very special and fascinating #exoplanet system: #HIP41378.

    #Thread

The #star hosts 5 (+?) #exoplanets. Those exoplanets are #transiting in front of their host star which allow us to measure their radius. This #system is very special because the planets are orbiting at long orbital period. The 5 planets (called b, c, d, e, and f) have periods of 2 weeks, 1 month, 9 month, 1 yr and 1.5 yr (resp.).

  6. OK, finally set up and ready for my #Introduction to #ScienceMastodon #Astrodon #TwitterMigration.
I work at the boundary of #stellar and #planetary #astrophysics, emphasizing #Mdwarfs #youngstars and #youngplanets. In particular, I want to learn how #planetarysystems #evolve from formation to maturity, including what early conditions give rise to systems like ours. I lead two surveys searching for young #transiting planets.

I'm also a dad to one infant and one orange cat.
