I've purchased a #hario #kyusu glass #teapot. It's the second Hario glassware we own besides the #syphon #coffee maker and we are so satisfied with the quality of their products, I absolutely recommend. The tea strainer insert is from china unfortunately despite they state the product is made in Japan.

@big_diggity I have looked at #matrix. Self hosting is possible. But what I found is, matrix specs provide for lot of features. Implementation of these in matrix clients are very inconsistent. #element probably has most of the features implemented, but I felt it is overwhelmingly complex. #syphon has a neat implementation, but have long way to go, as they are still in alpha. Also e2e encryption need to be turned on depending on the client. There are too many clients out there and all are imperfect. So it takes a bit of experimentation to find the best client you want to use. That probably is ok for technically inclined people, but not for everyone.
With all that I don't think matrix is the right #IM solution for common people..ie. family/friends etc. It might work for small focussed teams, a small company as a replacement for #teams #slack etc.. But for regular IM that is privacy abiding, I still will go with #signal. -

Is anyone using #syphon, a #client #app for #matrix? I want to get rid of #Telegram as well on my mission to go full #opensource on my #lineageos #android device. Even I'm using the #FOSS version now, there are still too many connections to disgusting endpoints. I just want to know how reliable it works & if it's a proper replacement I can suggest to my family members. I'd like to have:
- E2EE
- group chats
- ease of useIf you have a better suggestion, I'd be grateful to learn about it.

@favstarmafia #Syphon ist leider noch alles andere als "fertig" - wird im Auge behalten. Würd ich derzeit aber niemandem für die Alltagsnutzung empfehlen.

@frankiezafe Works really well. I now understand why you want to #Syphon 3 different camera textures from the same game. It solves the problem of having to sync a perfect consistent world across 3 different instances of the same game. Nice job.
