I checked the use-by date on the Nikon Yokan I bought at the Nikon Museum a while back. I don’t think I’ll ever become a Nikon camera user, but I enjoy the merchandise, so I end up buying all sorts of things. The Nikon Moleskine I bought ages ago is great fun too.

Part of today's to-do list is restocking my Chemex filters with a few more boxes. I found a good deal on these on eBay, but they're marked as used. No, thank you.
I expect this means the box is just a little banged up, but I'll pass on these.

Our standard 30g beans + 500ml just off the boil filtered water Chemex brew, starting with 50ml water 30 second bloom.
Extraction time was just under 4 minutes, bang on really but could maybe take the grind down a notch next time.
(Some day we need to replace our now 15 year old Dualit burr grinder.... but it suffices for now.)

This #Chemex carafe kettle is both. I bought it in my 20s, and used it this morning to boil water for iced tea. Handblown, the chimney is also a handle, kept cool enough for bare hands by the "steam stopper" that sits inside. The second photo is from 1982, where it's in the passive solar house I built in 1980 in #NormanOklahoma
