@hecklefish #oldnews The info in the breaches is old for the most part. But also remember that breaches are additive. You don’t need all the info at once. Just a little breach here, a little breach there. Here a breach, there a breach, everywhere a breach breach.
Also, passwords that have been compromised are old, unused, and mostly for abandoned accounts. Still doesn’t change the fact I need to spend time going and verifying these things, or even that I get alerts that my shit is found in X number of breaches this week. That’s X number of companies that done fucked up, trust or not. Legit info or not.
The internet has just become a cesspool.

This hot in from the Reform UK Kent DOLTS (Department Of Looking Terminally Stupid) team, presumably the first outcome of their clever, clever AI deep dive into the top secret numbers from their interrogation on Monday.
Except it’s no such thing. This is a direct read from a KCC report to KCC Audit Committee in May 2024 (so it’s over a year old, talking about older things) which Kent’s processes and audit found, reported, made public, discussed and sought to improve.
