The Intercept Media and the Freedom of the Press Foundation are seeking to block a Trump Media & Technology Group service that sells faster access to President Donald Trump's Truth Social posts for up to $100,000 per month.

Woohoo! Social Security and Medicare A&B have been approved, and are retroactive to July.
I have to say the customer service (phone) I received from various Federal agencies far exceeded what I get from corporations these days. In every instance, I spoke with a human being in less than 12 minutes, and never got bounced by a phone menu.

Controversial #press reporter Max Blumenthal wants answers after US #BorderPatrol seized his #cellphones upon return from trip abroad but not his laptop. While US government eventually returned the communication devices a week later, many questions remain about basic journalistic freedom and just how the devices may have been compromised.
Blumenthal sought a court hearing and a #FederalJudge Leonie M Brinkema agreed, and gave the #USgov 14 days to respond to who had custody of the phones, and explain what they did to them.

U.S. Gov's FAA is proposing to amend space launch licensing regulations to "reduce regulatory burden" for space operators.
The proposed rule would waive requirements from 13 federal laws for certain commercial space licenses including: National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, parts of the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act and several other and natural resource laws.

Investigative journalists in Europe suggest China and Russia have been discussing ways and means to blunt StarLink.
Reporting indicates China presented a 3-tier plan to the Russians > 1) diplomatic pressure, 2) electronic jamming cyberattacks, and 3) physical destruction of StarLink satellites.
Media reports in China suggest the country has built a ground-based microwave weapon capable of targeting satellites in low earth orbits.
This could present quite a sticky wicket for E. Musk and Tesla in particular.
Tesla, relies heavily on China as a manufacturing base, and is a huge sales market, not to mention is a key part of Tesla's battery supply chain. The Education Dept. was established by Congress in 1979 to "ensure that education issues receive proper treatment at the Federal level” & "enable the Federal Government to coordinate its education activities more effectively.”
Now Congress seems like it couldn't care less as #Trump overrides it, dismantling the Education Dept. bit-by-bit & pushing its responsibilities to other gov departments.

The Government claimed a jailbreak of Fable 5 but has only indicated this verbally - Anthropic disputes the government's classification suggesting the possible jailbreak is very narrow in scope.

So the #GOP wormed its way into funding #ICE & #BorderPatrol at a level that will please their owner, #trump, through a trick called reconciliation... but how they figured funding for more than the government's fiscal year is EXTRA wormy...
And honestly, I'm wondering if it might be unconstitutional. It definitely skirts norms.
BTW, ICE funding concerns precipitated the longest partial government shutdown ever earlier this year.

And Congress is *actually* supposed to make an entire budget by Sept 30 of each year (for Oct 1), but generally fails and funds via continuing resolutions (CRs) for ALL funding of various departments, not just the ones that POTUS likes best.
