If anyone cares about the future of the #NSW #Libs, and I do, for reasons I’ll outline below, here is some advice that should be taken seriously:
“…the right [-wing of the NSW liberal party] may now control branches through these stacking activities will undercut that message.
The South Australian and Western Australian Liberal parties have already seen takeovers by religiously aligned rightwing cooperatives. The result has been they have been reduced to a handful of seats in their state parliaments.
The NSW Liberals would be well advised to look at those examples and deal with the aftermath of the stacking as soon as possible.”
I want the State’s Liberal Party to come back to its small *L* liberal roots and push #NSWLabor back to the left were it ought to be, working for the workers of NSW and not the *bosses*.

Is anyone following the 2028 United Stares Presidential Election?
Any sign of potential anti-imperialist candidates? Preferably someone with a chance of getting on the ballot in a non-trivial humber of states.
I'm not much interested in the domestic politics of what Americans do to each other. I'm interested in the rest of the world staying safe, so I am looking for potential candidates who want the USA to stop being a global bully and a military superpower. Widen the #OvertonWindow!

Here is the reasonable but out of the #overtonwindow take on the #iranwar. First, as always, assume #taco. Second, understand, Iran is demanding war reparations. Third, Iran has already taken the Straight of Hormuz and is using it as a toll booth. Fourth, #Israel and the #USA will not/cannot pay war reparations. So #trump will negotiate a #franchise for Iran to keep taking a toll on all shipping out of the #persiangulf. The smaller gulf states pay for it. USA and Israel declare victory. ✌️

Epstein, Western Decline, & The Moral Collapse Of The ElitesWhat is at stake is no longer who “visited the island” or who “caught a ride on Epstein’s plane.” What is at stake is the fact that networks of this kind only exist when they are backed by deep institutional protection. There is no ritual pedophilia, no human trafficking on a transnational scale, no systematic production of extreme material without political, police, judicial, and media cover. This is not conspiracy: it is the logic of power.
From this point on, the West can no longer hide behind the idea of gradual decline. It is not merely cultural degeneration or a loss of values.
It is something darker: an elite that operates outside any recognizable moral limits and yet continues to govern. People directly or indirectly involved with this world continue to decide elections, wars, economic policies, and the fate of entire societies.
Another decisive element is that we still do not know who is behind the leak. This uncertainty is central. It may be a move by Donald Trump or by sectors aligned with him, attempting to definitively destroy their internal enemies and reorganize power in the United States in a minimally positive direction. It may be the opposite: a controlled release of material intended to pressure Trump into serving the interests of the Democrats and the Deep State.
And the uncomfortable truth, impossible to ignore, is that all of this may still be part of an even deeper and more macabre plan by the Deep State – encompassing both Democrats and Republicans – to “resolve the Epstein issue” through a brutal campaign of collective desensitization, “normalizing” in public opinion the idea that the Western elite is composed of pedophiles, satanists, and cannibals.
This reinforces a critical point: the truth only came out because it stopped being useful to keep it hidden.
For decades, all of this was known behind the scenes. The silence was not the result of investigative failure, but of a high-level decision.
The press stayed silent. The agencies stayed silent. The courts stayed silent.
The system worked exactly as it was supposed to, all in order to protect itself.

This suggests that Epstein was less a tool of Intelligence Services, but more their ‘peer’. No wonder leaders sought his company (and for grossly immoral reasons too, we cannot not ignore). And clearly the Deep (uniparty) State manoeuvred through him. And in the end, Epstein knew too much.

But MSM neŵs reporting and Democrats continue to frame ICE as #Trump's overreach, rather than as normal American repression now visiting suburbs.

I wrote the paragraph below on my personal website, would you believe it, almost 25 years ago in 2001 (thank you, Wayback Machine).
"The Conservative party, under a new leadership following their 1997 humiliation, are desperately trying to reposition themselves. This has resulted in increasingly isolationist and xenophobic policies. Also, they have developed the habit of jumping on every populist bandwagon that comes along, irrespective of whether it is in the long-term interests of the country."
Nothing changes, but I'd happily settle for the Tories of 2001 over the current Labour party. If only I'd known back then what was to come.

I hope that #Mamdani will do better. Initial indicators are hopeful.
Yet a power system which gives leadership to individuals rather than groups leaves the individual vulnerable to the establishment, esp when they are stained for having trespassed outside the narrow frame of a tiny #OvertonWindow.
The key indicator will be how #NYCMayor Mamdani can keep faith and common cause with the #DSA movement which took him to power.
Will Mamdani deliver change? Or follow Obama into vain posturing?
