January 23rd, the day that we have a general strike in solidarity with Minneapolis, I think it would be a good idea if we all had an impromptu picnic and arts festival in the nearest park. If you're an artist, bring your work and display. If you're a musician or performer, stake out a corner and sing your life. Invite everyone to prepare a picnic, and let's make abandoning these corrupt fuckers the happiest day of our lives.

RE: that thing about Dream Theatre.

To be clear about it. It wasn't just like a random jackass who put together that CD. I mean, I guess so? a rose by any other name.

**For example**
What's pictured here-- upon my 20-secs-spent in "googling-it", i find this pic (result #1). That milk carton thing was on the CD cover! But not 3D like this!
So, what the hell is this? "Roger", i presume is a friend of my guy. Did my guy employ this guy's services for the album cover? Is this a small-time cartoon that I should know?

Very odd, indeed. No?

I found the album cover 2 secs before posting! haha

"A Change of Seasons" appears to be the #DreamTheater album

First Night Monterey "does not provide valet parking. The FNM footprint is closed to all vehicular traffic, including bicycles (except when walked) and dogs. If you choose to ride your bicycle, there is bicycle parking near the shuttle bus stop at Del Monte Center. There are also bicycle racks located throughout downtown Monterey along Alvarado Street - and including larger racks at the Sports Center…” [remainder of FNM web page info about bike parking isn’t entirely accurate].

"Please be courteous and walk your bike within the FNM footprint. Bicycles are not permitted inside any venue.”

Isn't that just called going camping, or going to a green festival by the sea?

Maybe you could organise your own mini festival. Book a woodland campsite venue, Make green fest of sorts. Look at green/eco events for ideas.

No idea how that works as I prefer being near towns, shops and cafés.

My Tuesday started early with a 17km cycle to sculptor Denis O’Connor’s house where we set off to Kilkenny.

He was taking me up to meet friend & artist Liane Lang, see her show at the Butler Gallery & her talk with artist Aideen Barry & Anna O’Sullivan (director Butler Gallery) at the Castle.

With Martin Hayes photobombing.

This was my fave #ArtPiece at #ArtisTree yesterday ❤️

Tanya Bub is an #EcoArtist who creates #sculptures of animals and people from #FoundWood and #RecycledMaterials. A signature feature of her work is making inanimate objects appear to be so alive that is it almost impossible to resist the feeling that there is a living being present.

This piece of art is called, Sitting With Grace - created in 2023.

Sitting with Grace is a sculpture project done in #collaboration, #OurPlaceSociety, #HausOfOwl creator, Ross Whelan and people in the #StreetCommunities in Victoria, BC. You can read more about the project and sculpture on #VictoriaBuzz :

"Nickie Lewis is an artist residing on the unceded lands of the Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam first nations people, also known as Burnaby B.C.. She specializes in eco-friendly art created entirely out of natural organic materials such as cedar sticks, moss, jute twine, and yard waste."
