In for a text editor or light IDE that supports syntax highlight, auto-indent, maybe auto-completion, to work mainly on small self-hosted HTML and Python projects.

I value simplicity and light weight. It must be free software and able to run on GNU/Linux GUI. I am not a seasoned developer looking for the ultimate advanced features. And got a bit lost in the vast ecosystems of editors with a lot of whistles.

Looking for suggestions from the community. Thank you! :)

I made a personal #filter to prevent being bombarded by someone calling themselves thegx on many servers/instances. But seriously. I truly appreciate the work admins do to keep literal nazis and kkk out of our instances. If everyone filters nagging pains in the ass like thegx will they just sit around talking to themselves? Or does this rise to the level of something (mostly volunteer) admins have to address server by server? #AskTheFedi
