Resize root partition in Debian VM

Hello Linux friends,

Looking for some help today. Some dummy who won’t be named undersized the partition for his Debian VM at 32Gb. This was not enough space, as the VM is already out of storage. In Proxmox where the VM is hosted, I’ve already allocated extra space for this VM using Proxmox’s built in GUI tools. The problem is, I’m not sure how to properly extend the partition within the VM itself, using the terminal only, without breaking everything (something I obviously don’t want to do, lol).

I’ve done a bit of searching and people seem to be recommending tools like fdisk and resize2fs, both of which are not installed, and I’m afraid that I don’t have any available space to install them. I’m also a bit of a noob and some of the language for drives and partitioning just flies over my head.

Any tips on:
- Clearing a bit of space on a Debian VM (that’s mostly using Docker, no other programs/files running constantly)
- Resizing root partitions without too much headache
Would be greatly appreciated!

#Linux folks, it's time to replace my primary 27" monitors. The pair were a Facebook Marketplace special, and the the manufacturer is no longer is business. I can't find a color profile to calibrate it, and I'd like a higher resolution. So please drop response if:

This model worked effortlessly with my Linux machine!!! I am satisfied with this!
or
This model is beyond horrible! Avoid! Run Away!

Here is what I tried:
Tried two different nvidia drivers (555 and 560, both have this issue)
Ran memory test a few times, passed every time
Reseated GPU, RAM, CPU
Reinstalled Steam and games
Reinstalled OS out of desperation
Changed kernels
Monitored temps (all good)
Monitored RAM and VRAM usage (all very low on crash)
Tried Wayland and X11

I changed the PCI power cables on my PSU and it worked for a few hours, but now games are insta-crashing again.

Does anyone have any ideas? Please :3540_Aqua_cry:

Would anyone be able to help me with a Linux problem? For some reason when I am playing games, a random white box will just flash in the top left for a second. Randomly my screen will just flash white when I play games as well. It's getting really annoying! I tried Googling it but can't find anything since it's so vague.

I've tried running:
sudo dnf downgrade plasma-workspace

and yes, I've tried using the --allowerasing parameter but just got told to fuck off.
