In response to some interest in making 3D models for new content in the game, there is now a new page on the wiki with notes about how to make models for the game:

While the game's asset pipeline is rather primitive and materials are defined in code rather than in data files, I hope it will serve as useful for whoever may end up going down the path in the future.

I wonder... Maybe in these wacky times FOSS might be more risky than the closed source (security though obscurity) for-profit garbage?
I keep thinking about the Mythos AI model for finding security issues and how only big shots (and backdoor folks) are getting access. Look at Firefox. It's open source. They still found GOBS of stuff.
Seems to me the little guys can't (or won't) use it. But the bad guys will. How many zero-days we're sitting on?

We’re currently converting our 1990s Amiga 68000 Assembly games to portable C code using a transpiler we developed. It works pretty smoothly. We released our games and the transpiler as open source. You can find everything here:

@jselea Thanks goes out to Jonathan for this (still quite relevant) tidbit. For those of us who spent a lot of time with Sun #Solaris up through Solaris 10 there's a lot to appreciate here.
Solaris has been parted out, but here is an Enterprise production scale incarnation that's worth a looksee and testdrive. It's really a shame that the Evil EllisonCo destroyed so much - just discarded it like trash, following aquisitions, and what they didn't toss out in the trash they dissappointed the developers so much that it spawned forks that exist to fill the vacuum to this day:
- MySQL ==> MariaDB
- OOo ==> LibreOffice (The Document Foundation)
- Sun Enterprise Servers - rebranded as Oracle boxes
- Sun Solaris 10 ==> OpenIndiana and others (OmniOS, for one)
- Sun VirtualBox - Oracle VirtualBoxSo without dwelling on the past or further ado, let's follow Jonathan's tour, shall we?
