Shortly after putting out the new Tux! release a few hours ago, a bug was discovered. The combination of the new sliding shells with the freeze spell had not been considered, but an idea was instantly born and executed:

Tux! now shows a preview of the selected level before starting a match, and has gained a command-line flag to run the game in a mode that makes taking consistent screenshots a breeze.
The background of the main menu also gained some detail in the form of rocks, hills and grass blades.
Furthermore, keyboard and gamepad navigation of the UI has been significantly improved.

#Tux 🎂🐧 30 ans et pas une ride !
Le 9 mai 1996, un petit manchot faisait son apparition officielle. Dessiné par Larry Ewing avec GIMP, Tux est devenu bien plus qu'une mascotte.
👉 Linus Torvalds a été mordu par un manchot dans un zoo en 1993.
👉 Le nom "Tux" est un double jeu de mots : (T)orvalds (U)ni(X) et le "smoking" de l'animal.
👉 Et non, ce n'est pas un pingouin... c'est un manchot ! Le pingouin vole alors que le manchot préfère compiler des noyaux. -
