Scratching my head about trying to upgrade #uboot to a new version and continuously noticing an old version is loaded which shouldn't have been possible, only to realize it was an old version on mtdblock0 all the time which #rockchip tries first...🤦

Купил портативный проектор HY-300 — оказался не самым "ярким" представителем. Через ADB и root добрался до прошивки, нашёл скрипт testgamma, который при каждой загрузке занижает яркость до 70%. Разобрался как работает gamma LUT в видеопроцессоре VOP, какие параметры реально влияют на картинку, а какие — пустышки. Пошаговая инструкция по выжиманию максимума из проектора.

@oldthink34 well it depends on the SoC mainly; there are projects like #Rocknix that have #Linux distros for various #Rockchip based handhelds. #Lakka supports a lot of #Amlogic devices, #Batocera supports a bunch of others.

That #Razer is based on a #Snapdragon G3X which is a beast of a chip, but I'm not aware of any opensource distros on #Qualcomm chips.

Maybe some #Ayaneo #PocketS owners have heard of something? #ayaNeoPocketS

I still think it's odd that you don't see the #BCM2711 in any other #SBCs

There's a #RockChip and #Amlogic in EVERYTHING; they use the same #Arm cores, as the #RaspberryPi but in different configurations. There are versions with 3.2 USB, and 2.5 Ethernet!

There are DOZENS of devices made by a dozen or more companies using #Allwinner, #Unisoc, #Dimensity, or #qualcomm chips, but there's only one company making #BCM devices.

I've had an #Anbernic #RGArcS sitting around in a box waiting for me to play with it for months and I just now learned about #RockNix
