An antique photo of the BL37 “Peerless," a small single-engine tandem-wing patrol aircraft built by the Bonner-Lance company. It features a Cazarel E12L inline V-12 liquid-cooled elixir engine, mounted behind and below the cockpit in a tractor configuration. The aircraft is primarily employed by the Royal Caladieran Air Service as part of their dirigible-based ocean patrol wing, but is also quite popular with Norandian pirates. #Panauva #Aerodex #aeropunk #skyfi

I’ve been learning about, & working on a process to run all of those applications & plugins (that just don’t work with Linux and WINE), without having to go outside of my laptop. I think it’s going to work, & with low latency too! 🙂

This is an awesome (kind of over-produced, but 🤷♂️ ) #aviation #avgeek #Connie #Sunnfun video. #CRM is good, twice the captain/PF uses his authority to over-ride the cockpit voices - as he should. One quibble - they never explain what the issue was. But I say again, an awesome video about a truly awesome aircraft! Enjoy

Dear Friends of the yet to be lobster instance,
As we might know. Starting ones own homey #server is not easy. Not for those of us using #Rebel #Alliance modified hardware, designed by Daath Gateus from #MicrobeSith or MicroSofteeLuvlies or whatever they are #marketing and ad bombing their #loyal #sheeple with. 😆
No dear friends, some of us only have a #penguin, #Baby #Grogu and the Guinness #Farce is barely with us. All we can do is speak in garlic or #Gaelic (fluent #gibberish in my case) :ablobcatgoogly:
BUT SOMEHOW...
In a galaxy chocolate not so far away...
I haz:
1. #Created a second #admin #account due to being locked out from MY own #Ryzen powered cheapo '#Windows Only' server. The #Audacity of it :ablobcatbongokeyboard:(also available as a great Free recording software for many of us)
2. Changed my default search engine from #SithGoogle to #Startpage
3. Seem to be having some #uck with #Cockpit #server (maybe, perhaps, almost)
And that is a vast #improvement, over my morning venting, fuming and swearing to the gods of the internet. Just needed some #breakfast. In case you are wondering it was a multivitamin tablet and #suarkruat on Vogel bread and a pot of tea. Everything is #tickety-boo. I will even talk to the dark #siddhi mistresses and masters, mmm... well maybe not too much. :anarchy: -
The pilot of the modified Wave Serpent, true to my army's form, is just a head supported by a mass of wires.
You can just about see his grin through the cockpit window.#Warhammer40k #PaintedMiniatures #MiniaturePainting #WaveSerpent #Eldar

#Leuchten bei @norberteder's #52WochenFotoChallenge, wir sind in Woche 22 angekommen.
22/52 Instruments
Shine. Lights. Glowing luminaires. I thought such instruments fit all, anyway I interpret the German word "Leuchten". And it was fun - don't know if anyone saw me and wondered what the heck this guy was doing with that camera gear - in the car - at night - with the music on 😁#car #cockpit #instrument #technical #photography #darktable #paperg

Looking at the launch info of the new Kia EV3. I’m okay with waiting for the US release as I was planning to wait a bit longer anyway.
So far I’m liking what I’m seeing.
The driver cockpit is a lot like the EV9. Which is great because when I looked at the dash of the EV9 last time I was at the dealer, I was super happy to see they brought tactility back to the driver experience. The dash looks like they basically lifted it from the EV9 and put it in the EV3.
It’s not going to be a high performance EV. It appears to still be at 400V. In fact, there’s a subtle jab in the launch video that the EV6 remains the performance option for the compact SUV.
I noticed that it appears to still be using CCS and isn’t launching with J3400/NACS. However, apparently the launch in the US is about a year later than other parts of the world, so perhaps showing the use of CCS is more of a global thing.
There will be range options and performance options. I’ll probably go with the GT-line. There doesn’t seem to be a full set of numbers, yet, but it seems the long range version should be over 350 miles of range. I’ve been doing GREAT with my 250 mile range Niro EV, so if the performance variant eats into that range a bit, so long as it remains around 300 miles, I’ll be happy.
Now, Kia will have their Kia Connect store, which sounds super bad. But apparently Kia has committed to never paywalling functionality. Rather, you can buy customizations, such as dash themes and whatnot.
One striking thing that I noticed in all the photos and videos is there doesn’t appear to be highly reflective glossy interior surfaces. I had my Niro EV piano black surfaces covered to block sun reflections from blinding me.
I’ll still be in my Niro EV for a few more years yet. But I’m loving what I’m seeing in the EV3.

Meet our new #NAS. #Zimablade #SBC arrived. Wired it up to two 4TB hard drives. 5400rpm, for quietness and reliability. Installed Cockpit to pair them up in RAID1, and left rsync copying our media onto here overnight. Next up, a #Jellyfin media server will access media from here, and try #Syncthing as a Dropbox replacement...

UNT unveils massive drone testing center 🥏🦅
"Drones [could] bring prescription drugs and medical equipment from the pharmacy to your front door."
"Drones [may] lower some supply-chain costs, because they don’t need fuel & their pilots don’t have to have expensive flight training & experience in a cockpit. With more freight traveling by drones in the future we could see emissions drop drastically."
