Am Wochenende ist mal wieder #NVME Austausch auf zwei Servern fällig. Die eine hat schon ein paar PB gesehen und beim wear 255% erreicht, also wahrscheinlich den Maximalwert für diese Zahl.
Läuft aber noch soweit fehlerfrei, aber habs mal wieder zu lang schleifen gelassen.
Läuft in md, also sollte das alles easy gehen, aber es braucht halt schon 3 Stunden oder so, einmal Vorbereiten, dann warten das die Techniker den Tausch durchführen, dann Rescue-Mode, kurz reparieren, dann Reboot.
Ich muss ja mit dem Reboot nicht warten bis das Raid komplett ist, oder?

Ein herzliches Dankeschön an die Entwickler @tobias , @heluecht und @art4 für den offenen und konstruktiven Austausch mit den Friendica-Instanzbetreiber:innen und Admins 🙌
Der Dialog war durchweg hilfreich und hat gezeigt, wie wertvoll der direkte Austausch zwischen Entwicklung und Praxis ist.💡 Themen waren unter anderem:
• die kommende Friendica-Version inkl. Relais
• Moderation: Übersicht der Reports
• Moderation: Blocklisten entfernter Kontakte (z. B. von anderen Knoten, speziell Bluesky)
• Dateiverwaltung (z. B. PDF) inkl. Funktionen zur Verwaltung und Löschung
• Addon „blockbot“
• und vieles mehr🤝 Ein gesunder Austausch ist wichtig – er hilft allen weiter, ob Admins oder Entwickler:innen.
Im direkten Gespräch lassen sich Missverständnisse schnell klären und Lösungen finden. Der ein oder andere Aha-Moment war definitiv dabei!🚀 Mitmachen erwünscht!
Ein wichtiger Punkt wurde ebenfalls betont: Für das Projekt Friendica werden weiterhin engagierte Entwickler:innen gesucht.
Gemeinsam können wir Friendica weiterentwickeln – es gibt noch viel zu tun!

i am thinking of defederating mstdn.jp, mastodon.cloud and pawoo.net - all of them are owned by sujitech and apparently have very lax and almost non existent active moderation.

Den Serverumzug habe ich ein wenig unterschätzt. Ist doch recht umfangreich möchte man alles korrekt machen.
Docker läuft, der Forgejo-Container rudimentär auch. Nun den Apache Reverse Proxy unter ISPConfig einrichten, den DBDump in die neue DB einspielen und mit Forgejo verbinden.
Dann das git-Backup in den privaten Ordner des Webclient kopieren, Rechte und Pfade anpassen und den Data-Ordner genauso ins Web legen.
Hoffe gitport.de geht bald wieder online. -

Struggling a bit with the whole hashtag review section in admin/moderation. Surely, as a single-user instance, this is about content that I am/am not interested in? So if I say 'Not Trendable', or 'Not Used' (eg.) then that's okay? If this is how it works why do some tags come back asking for a review? To change my mind? Surely having a single-user instance is all about personalisation, or, am I missing something here?

Hallo Fediverse! 👋
Ich habe meine eigene Instanz unter https://social.planetbotler.de erfolgreich an den Start gebracht. Bevor ich in den Regelbetrieb gehe, brauche ich mal ein technisches "Know-How" von euch zum Thema Hardening.
Mein aktueller Stack:
🔹 Public Gateway: VPS (Root aus, SSH-Key-Only, UFW aktiv).
🔹 Der Tunnel: Tailscale-Verbindung vom VPS direkt zum heimischen Proxmox.
🔹 Reverse Proxy: Nginx Proxy Manager (NPM) auf Proxmox für SSL & Routing.
🔹 Dienste: GoToSocial & Matrix laufen in isolierten Containern/VMs.
Meine Fragen an die Experten:
1️⃣ Ist der VPS als einzige "Tür" zum Internet für eine Heimnetz-Isolation ausreichend?
2️⃣ Sollte ich am Proxmox-Node noch weiter abtrennen (VLANs / Tailscale ACLs)?
3️⃣ Gibt es in dieser Kette blinde Flecken, die ich absichern sollte?
Ich freue mich über jeden Tipp, jede Kritik oder auch nur ein kurzes "Passt so!" von euch. 🚀

Question for the haproxy users:
Does anyone have a working configuration for reverse-proxying HTTPS URLs
- using "mode tcp" (no TLS certificates on the Haproxy) AND
- using the "use_backend" configuration do decide which backend to use based on SNI?So we have https://foo.example.org and https://bar.example.org, both DNS entries pointing to the haproxy.
use_backend foo if { FOO_CONDITION_GOES_HERE }
use_backend bar if { BAR_CONDITION_GOES_HERE }
default_backend fooNo matter which condition we try, we always fall back to the default backend.
Removing the `default_backend` we get errors for all connection attempts. So clearly the conditions are wrong.We tried `req_ssl_cni foo.example.org` as the condition inside the curly braces.
We tried `ssl_fc_sni_end foo.example.org`.
We tried `req.ssl_cni foo.example.org`.
We tried with -i and with "-m end".
We tried the complete URL (some.service.foo.example.org) or only the domain.Any ideas, anyone?
