At #Caversham this weekend for my cousins birthday. Successfully dealt with 2,5 hour drive and notorious kerb outside their house without scuffing alloys. First time I have been on a long run since #tuning #EA888 engine in #GolfGTI - fuel consumption isn't too bad at all!

Stuffed my face with food and had a few beers (not driving for a couple of days) to the point I have to use mobile phone to toot, as I don't know the WiFi code to use for the laptop and am too drunk to search for it (I risk falling down the stairwell).

Will be helping my cousin later today with configuring a CCTV camera (they had a security incident recently that justifies them deploying one)

I learned something about PC #tuning and memory controllers tonight. Doubled my CPU's (#AMD 7950X3D) memory controller speed without doing anything risky. Just corrected a bad auto-detection of my UEFI.
Result: Memory Controller Clock 1500 MHz -> 3000 MHz, system completely stable. Free performance, I take it 🙂Setting: UCLK = MEMCLK (autodetected badly and used MEMCLK/2)

Had false start as first PDM (OBD2 dongle) was goosed, but RL were responsive, sent new one next day (could even speak to real humans on telephone to sort things out!)

Used smol laptop on passenger seat (propped up on box + multiple Cecilia Aherne novels borrowed from book swap in office next door) to apply maps with Ring smartcharger set for constant 13,8V supply to keep battery charged.

Was a bit nerve wracking as you get whole list of gnarly errors on the dashboard but they clear off afterwards.

Did get DSG error codes initially but again Racingline sent new DSG map next day, applied this and so far so good (car now has similar power level to entry level GolfR ) #cars #tuning

Using EDIT to adjust my AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files to maximize the available lower memory. All of these drivers are eating up my precious memory! But... over 600K isn't too bad! 👍

I just PAID again for #PIDToolbox Pro. And it is such a shit software. I mean what it does is genius, but the user interface and every interaction with it is terrible. You have to install Java and the Matlab Runtime (>2.5GB!). It does not integrate well into the Mac ecosystem at all, and I guess Windows is a similar experience...
