What a journey, after almost whole life spent with #Debian (started with Potato) I had recently about year of experiments with atomic desktops (#Fedora #silverblue, #OpenSUSE #microos, #blendos, own setup of #alpinelinux with btrfs) I end up with having #nixos on my desktop. The learning curve will be maybe little bit steep, but challenge accepted. PS: special kudos to #redhat 5.x, this beast have taken me to #Linux path in mid late 90s

Eines unserer Mailsysteme verbessert die Sicherheit von "Usernamen & Passwort" um personenbezogene Zertifikate für mTLS (mutual TLS) durch den Client. Klappt mit #Thunderbird, den wir dafür auch vorsehen, problemlos ✅
Stellt sich raus die Mail-App von :apple_inc: iOS/iPadOS kann das seit zig Jahren nicht. Und das obwohl Safari und Mail die einzigen Apps sind die auf die Zertifikate auf OS-Ebene zugreifen dürfen 🤦♂️. Thunderbird, auf Desktop-OS, war von Anfang an kommuniziert, aber manche haben offenbar nur diese Geräte 🤷♂️
Kennt jemand eine App die mTLS auf diesen Geräten kann? Dann könnte man hier Abhilfe schaffen.

#Monterey is running much better on the 2013 #Macbookpro than #Sequoia.It's just as snappy as running #Fedora and #OpenSUSE, but with less driver issues :P
For now I am going to stay on Monterey. I just need this laptop for web browsing and watching the Youtubes. -

Just got some RISC-V hardware goodies to play with in the following days/months: BPI-F3 SBC by @bananapi with SpacemiT K1 8-core CPU supporting RVV 1.0 vector extensions. Hooked it up to the TV, booted it for the first time from a microSD with the default Bianbu GNU/Linux distro, so far so good. Will try to get Gentoo or openSUSE Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma/software running next.
