Playing around with Sequoia-PGP again. And it just strikes me how easy it makes it. This time I played with sqop instead of sq.

$ sqop generate-key > key.asc
$ cat file | sqop encrypt key.pub > file.asc
$ cat file.asc | sqop decrypt key.asc > file2
$ sha256sum file file2 | cut -d\  -f1 | uniq -c
      2 34fbc467b8c62...

Try doing that gpg without needing any $HOME/.gnupg directory. And then try putting that in a script run by some locked-down user via a cron job.

(I know this should be signed as well, not dug into that yet.)

I think many of Apple's software devs need to read Programming for Dummies and learn the basics. How bad is it that they can't even detect that I already have installed the update they're nagging me to install every damn day? And no, I will not install macOS Tosser with its Liquid glAss.

I went to Berlin and all I got was a Deutscher Bundestag first aid kit, three Deutscher Bundestag pens (all blue), and five Berliner Tiergarten giant sequoia seedpods.

Unboxing of the first aid kit: facemask, lots of bandaids, blister patch, tape, compresses and.. scissors (the amount of security to get in.. and then they give you scissors! ;-)). Some bandaids are space themed! All good quality, made in China.

This weekend I did some tinkering with the 2015 #iMac.  Running #Sequoia via #OpencoreLegacyPatcher started to make the #Mac chug hard.

I attempted installing a few different #linux based distros but the ones I tried (that I was interested in) all failed/crashed after installing.

So I went with my favorite “newish” #macOS, Monterey.   Now all my old #intel macs run good ol’ Monty and I am very okay with that.
