Hier zwei #wayle repositorys für #opensuse ( #slowroll #tumbleweed ):
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/yipfluoric/openSUSE_Slowroll/

Noctalia nutzt hier einfach #fdfind
Passt. -

@leanderlindahl OK more clear choices.
Mind as you mentioned, a stable choice.
#openSUSE 3Tumbleweed or openSUSE #slowroll are good choices, especially
with new hardware.
openSUSE #Aeon, immutable GNOME based.
#Kalpa same but KDE based.
#Fedora #Silverblue or regularImmutable or not depends on preference.

Currently listening to the @thelinuxcast episode on old tech.
So far the oldest devices that I am still using are both #Macbooks.
The newer of the macbooks is a 2013/14 Macbook Pro running #OpenSUSE #Slowroll has 8 gigs RAM and a Haswell chip. Current DE is #Gnome and #Floorp is my main browser. It's running like a champ. The only things that slow it down have been Gnome Software and Package ID.
The older Macbook Pro (2011) is currently running Snow Leopard with 16 gigs of RAM and Sandy Bridge chip. #PowerFox has been my go to web browser. Web browsing has been pretty decent. I notice some slowdown when loading sites with lots of adds and pictures.
Outside of some Broadcom issues, old Macboks hold up pretty well.

Here is a quick #fastfetch of the fresh re-install of #openSUSE #slowroll on the 2014 13 inch #macbook_pro

I may have borked my #Slowroll install on my #macbookpro when I switched the repos to official only.
I will do a fresh install soon. If that doesn’t work, then I will switch back to #Debian because Debian just works. -
I rolled the #tumbleweed over to the #slowroll. I am preferring greater stability over cutting edge.
Now I have my main pc and main lappy on the Slowroll, my favorite flavor of #opensuse -
It kind of blows my mind 🤯 that the 2011 #Macbook Pro running #MacOSX 10.6 feels/seems snappier than my 2014 MacBook Pro running #Opensuse #Slowroll.
I did have to mask/disable #PackageKitD and remove #Gnome Software on the 2014 MB as it was eating up the CPU. Maybe that was part of the slowness feeling issue? 🤷 -

@resplendent606
OpenSuSE (tumbleweed, slowroll, leap (some number))
#opensuse #tumbleweed #SlowRoll #leap -
Oh, great! This morning (after a #Slowroll update), @kde has finally reached feature parity between #Wayland and #X11 for me: When I try to log in, I get only black screen in both cases.
EDIT: My apologies to #KDE. This was a hanging
ssh-addprocess waiting for a password on an apparently random terminal (definitely not visible on screen). It was started bykeychain, which I added to my bash profile to work around missingssh-agentsupport in Wayland sessions. After I killed it using SSH from another computer, my desktop environment is now back to #SNAFU (freezing and crashing) behaviour. -
Per @thelinuxcast I am now “offically” an @opensuse #fanboy ‘cause I get them stickers.
The hat and backback are just “bonus” fanboy stuff 🤣
#Slowroll #Linux -
The switcheroo went well. The #macbook is running well and fully functional (webcam and wifi) on #OpenSUSE #Slowroll.
The #Ebox is running fantastically well on #UltramarineLinux.
So overall, it has been a pretty good night. Oh, and I switched the kiddo's lappy over to #Cinnamon. He likes a more Windows 10 setup. -

I am slowly but surely turning the lil #ebox running #OpenSUSE #Slowroll into a 2D/pixel art #PointAndClick "powerhouse."
Send me all of your 2D/pixel art style point and click game recommendations. -
