So far everything has been pretty ho-hum with the #AsahiLinux.  The only thing to note is that #Floorp is having some graphical glitches on the home/search page.

The notifications when you stop using #vivaldi as Google account-only sandbox because #ManifestV3 rules got so bad. On same day it said I had 3 available filters then 2 then 1 and I'd DELETED almost every extension/filter. SMH - Makes your browser unusable @Vivaldi

Oh, #Floorp, I love ya, kid. A gentleman and a scholar.

And yeah yeah, I use Brave & Mullvad and (fill the blank) on various platforms, but Google is segregated to its own browser for everything, everywhere. My pref.

I have migrated to #Floorp and #Librewolf for quite a long time already, but never got round to uninstalling #Firefox. I just did! 🍾

It did leave behind more than what the docs (http://mzl.la/1xKrDkl) say.

Using `find ~ -name "*firefox*"`, I found the rest of the files and deleted them.

OK, I've checked that #Floorp is sticking to opt-in AI, something that you can go and enable if you want. Better route than #Firefox.

I thought I would check the 'missing image' icon in different browsers and launched FloorP as one of the browsers in my collection.

And then, what the fuck, FloorP?

Je sais pas si c’est déjà le cas dans #Firefox, mais sur #Floorp, la version 12.10.4 donne déjà accès aux réglages #IA (qu’on peut donc bloquer en masse via cet interrupteur, soi-disant). Ce que j’ai donc fait à la suite de cette capture affichant un message de dissuasion :

Petit problème d’alignement dans la boîte « À propos » de la dernière MAJ de #Floorp (sortie hier soir)… 😅

@thelinuxcast I forgot about the 2015 #iMac 5K I was gifted. It currently has a Skylake chip and 24 gigs of ram. Currently it is running #Debian13 with #Gnome on an external SSD.

So far it has been chuggin' along fine. It does well with #Floorp and #Youtube.

So far the oldest devices that I am still using are both #Macbooks.

The newer of the macbooks is a 2013/14 Macbook Pro running #OpenSUSE #Slowroll has 8 gigs RAM and a Haswell chip. Current DE is #Gnome and #Floorp is my main browser. It's running like a champ. The only things that slow it down have been Gnome Software and Package ID.

The older Macbook Pro (2011) is currently running Snow Leopard with 16 gigs of RAM and Sandy Bridge chip. #PowerFox has been my go to web browser. Web browsing has been pretty decent. I notice some slowdown when loading sites with lots of adds and pictures.

Outside of some Broadcom issues, old Macboks hold up pretty well.

As a result of a recommendation here on the fedi, i've been trying #floorp for the last few weeks (along with...like...*every* other alternative to firefox)

i REALLY like it. This very much feels like the firefox golden years.

Decided to switch to #Floorp as my main browser.

#Vivaldi continues to have profile issues when I switch between #Plasma and #XFCE, losing my logged in profile data along with cookies & logins, which is very irritating.

Firefox had no such issue, so I installed Floorp it and works like a charm.

@thomasfuchs #Floorp uses a newer Firefox codebase than Waterfox, and I find it to be more stable (on Linux, at least).

Now that I [somehow] have a following of random strangers, I have a request. I've been using the #Qwant search engine, but I keep running into a problem. Under settings 'Filter adult content', whenever I set it to 'None 👀' the search engine breaks. Attached is an image of the error in question. Does anyone else have this issue? The #Floorp & @Vivaldi browsers show the same error message. Any assistance would be appreciated. #FediHelp #FediAsk #Boost #BoostMe

@RABid @nixCraft as of right now, #Waterfox, #Zen, #Icecat, #Floorp, and #LibreWolf are all #LLM nonsense free. LibreWolf and IceCat are more or less guaranteed to stay that way because of the nature of the projects. Waterfox has made general rumblings about being anti AI, but haven't made a definitive response to #Firefox turning evil(er?), but I expect them to remain LLM free.

Floorp, and Zen are harder to predict, since those projects seem to be more UX focused than anything else, but as of right now, they're LMM free AFAIK.

On the #Chromium derivative side of things, #Vivaldi seems strongly anti LLM, #UngoogledChromium can probably be counted on, and… that's kinda it. Maybe #Brave. I'm sure there are others, or will be, but it's hard to call and starting from a Google code base isn't promising.

If you're on Linux/BSD, you can try Gnome Web (Epiphany) or Falkon; they might suit your needs. Palemoon might also work for you.

If you're on Windows or Mac, you've got bigger LLM problems than your browser.
