pour éviter le manque de communication
The vision of Reticulum is to allow anyone to operate their own sovereign communication networks, and to make it cheap and easy to cover vast areas with a myriad of independent, interconnectable and autonomous networks. Reticulum is Unstoppable Networks for The People.

This is people confusing online life with real life.
Some parents and grandparents don't even use smartphones — and a PC covers a lot of what an app-only phone can't do.
It's feasible; it's just more friction than people who've never tried it assume. https://www.reddit.com/r/Living_in_Korea/comments/1xe6ezw/how_feasible_is_life_is_south_korea_with_a_phone/
Well our dry season is over, rain is setting for good tomorrow. Time to cover these wooden sculptures in my garden. They're sealed with an oil based finish that has UV protection and anti-fungal ingredients but our climate in the #pnw is hard on wood. So I cover them with garbage bags for the winter. Needs to be done after a spate of dry days like we had this week, so it doesn't trap moisture under the plastic. #sculpture #Gardening #fall

Migrating from WordPress to #Ghost:
1. The actual export from WP was a pain – categories didn't work, and I had to convert everything into tags.
2. There doesn't appear to be a way to list recent posts in Ghost? Or popular posts?
3. DNS setup was frustrating, and the DNS redirect did not work as the documentation suggested it would.

I've got a tiny Raspberry Pi Display. Its connection is via Display Serial Interface (DSI). Is it possible to convert that connection through <stuff> to a thunderbolt connection on my Mac? I want to use this as a tiny secondary display.
This song just came on an #80s #music playlist and I was intrigued to hear my brain scream, "This is my favourite song!" But my brain was talking about this cover in particular: https://friendlymusicvisitor.blogspot.com/2024/06/songoftheday-wouldnt-it-be-good-placebo.html
Hey writers, as a percentage of yearly royalties, how much are you spending on the non-writing costs, like cover art, marketing, editing, proof reading, beta reading, etc?

October 24, 2025 - The Trump administration announced that it wouldn't tap emergency funds to cover food stamp benefits during the government shutdown.
The decision imperiled nearly 42 million Americans who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The White House blamed Democrats for the lapse in funding.

A generative phoneme map: when the known substitutions aren't enough
Every transcription system that handles non-standard speech patterns eventually runs into the same wall: the cases you anticipated and the cases you didn't. You can build equivalency maps — careful, researched tables of which sounds tend to substitute for which in a particular speaker population — but speech is richer than any table. There will always be a sound combination the map doesn't cover.
