It is a #newWave and #synthpop song that features a #synthesizer, electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums in its instrumentation. The apparently nonsensical lyrics have a common theme revolving around the ability to deal with one's problems by "whipping it". I feel like Angine de Poitrine and Maromaro are in some ways a return to the late 70s' and early 80s desire for bands that brought in something weird and different. They were avant-garde acts that went beyond simply having music to being as much about the visuals and a message as they were about anything else.
We saw this with bands like Devo, Talking Heads, Wall of Voodo, and (to a lesser extent) the B52, as well as small local bands like Zoogz Rift, Crash Courses with Science.
All that was old is new again.
