Government of #India is behaving like a corporate behamoth. #Modi announced a major currency withdrawal back in 2016 and popularised digital transactions. #UPI was a major component of it. To be honest, UPI is a pretty convenient way to do transactions using a QR code. It started as a free service, but now the #GOI is trying to impose charges on it through this legislation. The estimates says, it wouldn't take more than 3-5% of the surplus India's central bank is paying to GOI, but look like the government is bend upon charging for UPI transactions, which eventually is to help the corporates who are providing UPI services like google, meta, Amazon etc.

Typical corporate strategy.. give things free, make people enjoy the convenience and then start charging for the service. Modi and BJP doesn't believe government exist for the welfare of people.

Even though the Indian education minister resigned, I don't think the #modi govt will accept this defeat.
The #modi Govt is so crooked they will be placing another incompetent as Education minister's face where Pradhan will be still calling the shots or Pradhan will be given another bigger or important responsibility in the Govt.
We have to wait and see the #modi Govts plan.
