In May I spent a week in Cheryl Jacobsen's Gothic & Vellum class with Friends of Calligraphy, learning to write and paint directly on parchment. This book seemed to magically come together over the week. The fish just seemed to be calling me through the hole in the parchment. My favorite part of working on skin was turning its “flaws” into features.
"The Fish" is finished and available for purchase — contact me, if you're interested.
I've also got a second skin in the studio waiting to become the next book. Just need the time.
