  1. There's been an exhiibit of ol' 90's era newsprint rags, art and nightclub ephemera of many curated cassette and CD compilations and other things I was involved in back in the last centery at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in #SOMA.

    Tonight's closing celebration offers rare chance to see an #OvarianTrolley reunion tonight in #SanFrancisco at #YerbaBuena too... A 90's era trio who saw playing all the underground spots from here on up to Seattle back in their prime, here's video of the last time I saw them play at the link ... it was a closing party of another great lost SF warehouse space.

  2. Just talked to someone who's wife works in a Covid ward at a local hospital. This new strain of Covid according this person's wife is as bad as the first strain we had in 2020. Do your research but this could be bad!!!!!!

  5. I have to say, having spent a little time there, I simply do not get the excitement about BlueSky. Folks are raving about how wonderful and nice and like Twitter used it be it is... but it's (as of yesterday, I believe) 50,000 users, acquired mostly by users-inviting-their-friends.

    The web interface is extremely bare bones (making me constantly miss features in Mastodon!)

    We'll see what happens, but thus far my feed here remains far more enjoyable and active.
