I had my GoPro with me yesterday, these are some pics from it of the #geese.

Took Rosie and Lily to local reservoir for our Sunday walk.
There were lots of Greylag geese and Canada geese making a lot of noise.
Wonder if they are getting ready to leave Scotland for the year 😕 -
@SockDiva & I were #goosed in #RiddellsCreek!
It started with just 3 geese which were drinking from rain puddles & eating grass.
When we left there were 13 geese in the group.
Riddells Creek is very well known for its geese (maybe 40 or 50 in all, spread out around the town) but we’ve never had a close up with them before.
We also visited their nursery & picked up a couple of plants. #geese #feijoa

A better world can't be made through excluding the ideas and contributions of non-humans. They are our kin on earth and its our job to respect and elevate them so they can share in our abundance of resources and knowledge
I assume capacity until its been demonstrated as absent, I talk to them and love them and listen to them honestly.
In return I have #geese who trust me enough to turn to me and ask what unfamiliar objects/happenings are. my #ducks ask me to put them to tuck them in

They have deep social bonds with others that share their community and are active thinkers. We got our #geese at 2 days old and raised them with our #farm #ducklings. They love their flock members and watch out for them , I found myself getting blocked by the two softly chatting at me when I was trying to discipline my #pekin and they thought she was too afraid
They used body positioning and soft de-escalatory tactics to break the tension,it was an impressive display of thoughtfulness #birds

A greylag is less chatty and speaks in a lower pitch and tone, one that can travel through the thick temperate wetland brush.
Swan geese are migratory from the plains in northern central china to the the south. The expansive land with little vegetation and a lot of wind means high pitches are needed and large groups share resources
