There's been an exhiibit of ol' 90's era newsprint rags, art and nightclub ephemera of many curated cassette and CD compilations and other things I was involved in back in the last centery at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in #SOMA.
Tonight's closing celebration offers rare chance to see an #OvarianTrolley reunion tonight in #SanFrancisco at #YerbaBuena too... A 90's era trio who saw playing all the underground spots from here on up to Seattle back in their prime, here's video of the last time I saw them play at the link ... it was a closing party of another great lost SF warehouse space.

As a San Franciscan New Yorker, I find it intensely fucked up that there's now a place at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Smith Street in Brooklyn named "Yerba Buena".
Granted, that's an excellent name for a cannabis dispensary. But fuck that; anything named Yerba Buena should be *west* of the Mississippi, dammit!

Decided to drive over to Yerba Buena Island to check out the super moon with @luna. Worth it. The moon rising over the island, with the Bay Bridge and the city's skyline on either side is quite a sight. Absolutely nobody on the streets or trails either.

Ah, here's a big one for me. First Contact with #astrophotography
I set the aperture to maximum (1.8), shutter speed to slowest (30"), iso to minimum (100), and got the camera aiming up on a tripod.
So much fun.

A little too dry maybe, but even when its ~41C under the sun, you can step under a tree and it'll feel like its ~20C.
