Người dùng gặp sự cố khi dùng GPU Nvidia RTX Pro với Proxmox VM GPU passthrough. Sau khi reboot VM, card không được nhận diện (nvidia-smi báo lỗi), dù lspci vẫn thấy. Phải reboot cả host Proxmox mới dùng được lại. Trong khi đó, card RTX 5090 vẫn hoạt động bình thường sau khi reboot VM.

Lỗi `atombios stuck in loop` trong ESXi cho GPU Mi50s đã được khắcquiry bằng cách chỉnh sửa `passthru.map`. Dành cho GPU >16GB VRAM. Các bước: 1. Lấy VendorID/DeviceID từ `lspci -n` (vd: 1002 66a0). 2. Thêm dòng `[1002] [66a0] d3d0 default` vào `/etc/vmware/passthru.map`. 3. Xóa lạiPCIe device trong cài VM, khởi động lại host và VM. With the addition of #HDMI #passthrough in #macOS15 I’m finding renewed use for my surround receiver that started gathering dust in recent years. yeah i had some issues with kismet, had to add stuff to config file but got it working - will try to get it going at boot now? I need to build it into a vm - the pi is for mobile #passthrough

- Resizeable Bar im Bios ausschalten
- CSM im Bios auschalten
- Debian auf unstable wechseln
- Module Blacklisten
- Bios Primäre GPU auf CPU interne wechseln
- Proxmox "Primäre GPU" aktivieren
- Und noch andere Dinge die ich schon wieder vergessen habe

I went down a rabbit hole the last few days trying to get #tls #passthrough to work with #traefik.

I've got a #nginx container fronting #mastodon #minio #bucket doing ssl and caching. So now I'm able to point my assets DNS at traefik.

All of #Mastodon is now in #docker #swarm.

When I have some time I will look at fronting #mastodon with cloudflare #cdn.

I can now shoot that VM in the head. And build a swarm worker.

This has been some awesome learning.

Der Job wäre durchaus mit ein bisschen Arbeit vor Ort verbunden. Ansonsten kann aber auch sicherlich etwas remote erledigt werden.

Und ja, es geht hier auch um #Passthrough, das manuelle Durchreichen aber vielleicht auch (wenn möglich) das Teilen und Ausbalancieren der vorhandenen GPU Ressourcen unter div. Teilnehmenden / VMs.

Things I learned today:

ESXi 6.5 requires using vmkfstools in an SSH session to create an RDM .vmdk file to #passthrough existing drives or vdisks to UNRAID

This does not work unless you set the SCSI adapter to Paravirtual and add a config param for disk.EnableUUID=TRUE

Running #UNRAID as a guest VM on #ESXi is kinda a pain in the ass.

Hopefully this is all worth it though, as it's going to allow me to use a RAID10 of 4x 1TB SSDs for a cache pool and to run all my docker images etc. Meaning lightning fast reads/writes and caching for video encoding.
