По велению левой пятки мне опять захотелось попробовать заселфхостить
почту самостоятельно.
Прошлое моё исследование принесло мне неутешительные выводы, ничего
лучше postfix и dovecot придумано не было.
В этот раз я откопал следующее:
1. Maddy

Написано практически одним человеком, последний релиз был в январе
этого года, нет грантов, IMAP всё ещё бета.
2. Mox

На 99,9% написано одним человеком, последний релиз был в апреле этого
года, моложе Maddy, есть гранты от NLnet NGI0 Entrust, NLnet e-Commons
Fund и NLnet NGI0 Zero Core, больше вещей автоматизировано.
3. Stalwart

Занимается целая команда, последний релиз был вчера, есть гранты от
NGI0 Entrust Fund и NGI Zero Core, куча разных нужных и не нужных
фич. Пугает только заинтересованость авторов в энтерпрайзе и
возможность прятанья нужных и полезных штук за пэйволлом.
В итоге мой личный рейтинг получился таким (я не в давался в
подробности, а просто бегло просмотрел информацию на сайтах):
Stalwart (в основном из-за CalDAV и CardDAV) -> Mox -> Maddy
Что бы из этого подняли бы вы? Будут ли у вас советы для нуба вроде
меня?

I'm helping a friend with his mail server, and thinking of hosting my own again. Has anyone tried #mox #mailserver? https://www.xmox.nl looks made for the demographic (like me) who gave up on running their own, but understand that a protocol only stays distributed when enough parties run it.

My #Turris #MOX Classic not only refuses to update itself or to enable any optional module.
It now thinks that a few kB(!) of bandwidth ought to be enough for any host connected. (Probably some single connection mode issue.)

A modern, easy to set up stack to help people more easily and reliably #SelfHost #Email. Email is critical and the common #SelfHosting narrative is that it's impossible, or at least you need to be a technical grey beard/ponytail ninja to pull it off. Anything that helps make this easy could be HUGE, and I'm all for it!
