Salut la commu. Je sais pas trop qui je vais toucher comme ça, mais je suis en train de me faire un petit backend #JMAP pour Z-Push, histoire d’avoir des fonctionnalités sympas comme le #push sur les mails sur un iPhone à partir des messages d’un serveur #Stalwart. Je guide une #IA Mistral pour faire ça, j’ajoute des bouts à droite à gauche.
Est-ce que d’autres seraient intéressés pour que je mette ça à disposition ? Genre sous la forme d’une image #Docker ?

A year ago I wrote a JMAP webmail for my Stalwart server. Audience of one.
Then I deleted it and started again, keeping only the joke domain.
A year on it's groupware: mail, calendars, contacts, files, real sharing, Sieve with a visual builder, ten languages, admin gated by the server's RBAC.
One rule survived: nothing gets built if it needs a datastore outside what Stalwart already gives me. No DB, no cache, nothing to back up.

After thirty years of treating "where does this run" as a question of latency and cost, I'm moving jcoffey.dev and coffeylabs.org to Germany and my mail to the Netherlands.
It'll be slower, it'll cost more, and I get to rebuild sender reputation from scratch. I priced all of that before committing.
Why anyway: the planned cutover beats the emergency one, every time. This is that instinct, one level up the stack.

New: push by subscription. One PushSubscription per account instead of an upstream connection per tab, so Stalwart pays ~4.8 KiB per tab instead of 46 and maxConnections stops counting your users.
Also: twelve themes, S/MIME signature checking, smaller footprint.
