  1. @pwaring while deserve a good slap in the face for being red Tories, but voting for will only make things worse not better.

I see the have picked up lots of votes but virtually no new seats because the voting system punishes anyone not No 1 or 2 in the seat. Coming a good third doesn't help you.

The have picked up more seats than the Green party so far.

My old county has swapped Tories for Reform, so no real change there.

  2. Finally an election graphic that is more confusing than the #LibDem dodgy bar charts. I think this is implying that if you don't vote Green then Reform will pick up the last of the proportionally distributed seats for the #Senedd. I don't think PR works that way.

  3. "#Labour and #LibDem MPs led the calls for #Palantir, which also works for Donald Trump’s ICE immigration crackdown and the Israeli military, to be removed as a supplier to the #NHS federated data platform."

  4. @JackTheCat @HarriettMB There is absolutely NO question that the #LibDems are a #unionist #Party. If they're pretending to be anything else, they ought to be ashamed of themselves. As for being in bed with #Scottish #Labour, it would make me very cross indeed if I were a #LibDem #voter, north or south of the #Border!

  5. By 49% to 28%, Britons oppose the #USA's military action against #Iran.

    Net support by 2024 vote
    Reform: +33
    Con: +14
    Lab: -45
    Lib Dem: -49
    Green: -59

Note that #Starmer's weak support for #Trump aligns with the views of #Conservative voters, but clashes with the overwhelming opposition of #LabourParty, #LibDem and #GreenParty #GPEW voters.

If Starmer is trying to make Labour even less popular, he is absolutely on target. Who is he working for?

  6. If you live in the #GortonAndDenton constituency and are thinking of voting #Labour (or #LibDem), please consider voting for the #GreenParty instead. It is very unlikely that Labour will win, and either way #KeirStarmer will be deemed to have failed.

The big risk, as always, is that the progressive parties (in which I generously include Labour) will split their vote, allowing the right-wing parties to win with a minority. Any centrist or left-winger shouldn't want #ReformUK to win with their parachuted-in proto-fascist.

Even if you don't care that much about politics, please use your vote and vote for the local #Green candidate #HannahSpencer, a plumber and an experienced councillor, who will properly represent the people of your constituency. It's safe to say she's not the kind of person who will be heading off to the Chagos Islands for a publicity stunt.

  7. What the actual fuck UK?

If a general #election were held in UK tomorrow, #Reform Ltd company would win 355 seats, with #Tories as opposition with 92.

We are watching fascists in charge in the U.S. right now, and that's what people want, randomness people being gunned down by police, healthcare removed, books burned, major institutions closed down. Everyone getting even poorer.

How do we get the message out?

  8. Banning children from online games, and spying on every device: Why we must oppose Baroness Benjamin’s attack on liberty | LibDem Voice

Finally the Liberal Democrats are hearing the other side of the “safety” issue:

[If] one Liberal Democrat peer has her way, no one under the age of 16 would be able to play an online game that allows them to talk or interact with another player. Baroness Benjamin is backing a series of illiberal amendments to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.

  9. Europeans know exactly where this rhetoric is going which makes the few who are following it even more reprehensible, as they wave flags and harass minorities in nations still showing the scars of WWII

  11. Are you, like most #libdems, a #libdem who likes leaving things to the last minute? You've got just over an hour left to vote in the internal elections and the list of candidates is LOOOOOOONG. If you want a crib sheet for who to for for, there's one linked below

  12. The deadline for voting in the #LibDem internal elections is 2pm tomorrow. If you haven't voted already, and you want our party to live its queer-supportive values the @pluslibdems.bsky.social have a handy list of endorsements

  13. #LibDem leader Sir Ed Davey doesn’t miss a beat…he knows there are votes for him in bashing #Trump.

To #Starmer: “Will you join me in condemning Donald Trump's attack on the BBC?"
"As political leaders, we have a responsibility to protect one of our nation's most treasured institutions from becoming subservient to Donald Trump and his cronies”

But everywhere else I’m seeing people quoted as ripping into BBC, no mention of their rightwing credentials. Shameful day for British journalism.
