Interesting take on the progress of LLM generated music

According to SpectreSoundStudios LLMs can create better music than many people, do now, because people often try to do only super techniques for other musicians to adore, not for the listening public.

Modern (upcoming) musicians can't sing in proper tune, let alone great and can't harmonize if their life depended on it. Musicians often can't even play together and need to do seperate recording takes, meaning that they sound terrible to horrific when they do attempt to play like a real band did in the 20th century.
Those are the kind of musicians SpectreSoundStudios has had in his recording studios in the two thousands period of time.

There are many caveats, to LLM created music, because the generated music sounds sterile without a human touch; imperfections are important, the feeding of energy from a drummer going a bit harder, slower or faster, makes the rest of the band tune in on that energy and it makes the song feel alive and kicking;

Most of you already know that the search engine we were used to has devolved into an LLM hallucinated AI slop nightmare

I silently switched to DuckDuckGo a few of years ago. There are others also one of them is Kagi search.

Instead of telling you how all my experiences are I will just leave the beautiful links so you can surf, check, and see if they suit you. Translation currency conversion and everything else that I used on Google, I can easily do on DuckDuckGo where I have the most experience.

As tech companies race to secure massive power deals to build out hundreds of data centers across the country, these projects represent just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the potential climate cost of the LLM piramid scheme.

Michael Thomas, the founder of clean energy research firm Cleanview, has been tracking gas permits for data centers across the country. He calls behind-the-meter power “a crazy acceleration of emissions.”

“It’s almost like we thought we were on the downside of the Industrial Revolution, retiring coal and gas, and now we have a new hump where we’re going to rise,” he says. “That terrifies me in a lot of ways."

Microsoft, meanwhile, is reportedly looking into purchasing power from a Chevron-backed natural gas project in West Texas. That single project, according to its permit, could emit more than 11.5 million tons of greenhouse gases each year—more than the yearly emissions of the entire country of Jamaica.

I always ask similar questions like the following,

What will you do when you discover that the kernel of your favorite Operating System now gets programming assistance in any form of a power guzzling ocean warming large language model?

Will you fork the kernel yourself? Do you have the programming capability

There are a lot of folk who are pissed off at Linus Torvalds, for allowing some of his maintainers to use large language models to assist in finding bugs.

The Head Programmer of the fantastic and Beautiful curl also uses a large language model in some form, to hunt for bugs, because both he and Greg from the Linux kernel, saw that the LLM used on GitHub is now suddenly much better at finding those pesky bugs.

Mind you, the only LLM I like is the one that runs locally on my low powered Android phone. That's a micro LLM
