¿Así o más claro?
La palabra Eldritch es muy anterior a Lovecraft, yo la uso en el sentido etimológico original cuyo significado es "del reino de los elfos", por lo cual no tengo ninguna relación con el horror cósmico ni cosas por el estilo.
Uso el término como originalmente se ocupaba: para denominar algo fuera de lo común. -
Les explico la situación directamente para evitar confusiones entre quienes me siguen y me leen:
Mi nombre, Aetherius Eldritch, no guarda ningún tipo de relación con el universo literario de H.P. Lovecraft, el horror cósmico, los mitos de Cthulhu o relatos de terror con tentáculos. Tampoco tengo absolutamente nada que ver con videojuegos, juegos de Rol, cómics o
ese gremio esotérico contemporáneo denominado "la sociedad Eldritch" o vertientes místicas similares. Quienes siguen de cerca mi trayectoria saben bien que mi enfoque comunicativo se aleja por completo del esoterismo y las temáticas paranormales, basándose en la divulgación cultural desde una perspectiva estrictamente documental y de interés general.Si analizamos la etimología real y profunda de Aetherius Eldritch, de
ambos términos, la cual es sumamente anterior a la ficción del escritor de Providence y a los grupos metafísicos del siglo XX, encontraremos el verdadero significado terrenal y lingüístico de mi alias. La palabra Aetherius proviene directamente del adjetivo latino aetherius, que a su vez deriva del vocablo griego antiguo aitherios, cuyo significado preciso es celestial, perteneciente al firmamento o relativo a la parte más pura y brillante del aire superior que respiran las deidades en la mitología clásica.Por otra parte, el término Eldritch es un vocablo de origen angloescocés registrado formalmente desde el siglo XVI, cuyo origen etimológico se halla en el inglés medio elfriche. Esta palabra está compuesta por dos raíces del inglés antiguo muy claras: ælf, que se traduce como elfo o criatura de la naturaleza, y rīce, que denota reino, dominio o territorio soberano. En su sentido original y primigenio, Eldritch alude textualmente al reino de los elfos o a una tierra del más allá, evolucionando con los siglos hacia la descripción de lo extraño, lo peculiar o lo un poco fuera de lo común en el folklore popular. Mi alias es, por lo tanto, la conjunción histórica de un cielo luminoso y el antiguo dominio de la naturaleza; una declaración de curiosidad intelectual, lingüística e histórica totalmente ajena al horror, a ficciones oscuras o a doctrinas espirituales ¿queda claro?
