These are the last of my paintings from 2025. I need to start scanning my stack of paintings from this year so I can post those too. I like scanning in batches but it causes me to be a little 'behind' in what I post, vs what I've just finished or am actively working on.

Inspired by maidenhair fern leaves. Did you know that ferns are some of the oldest types of plants on Earth? Their reproduction predates flowering plants, and they actually reproduce with spores. Fascinating!!!

A couple more small-ish abstracts. The repeated concentric lines around the blooming shapes are inspired by layering in geological specimens like geodes and such. The clusters of dots were painted with mica watercolors so they shimmer in the light.
