I've been experimenting with Yupo on Aluminum, and I've had this weird thing where the area not-covered by the label is different from the covered area. It doesn't 'take' the ink in the same way.

If you've worked with this medium, have you run into this? How did you solve or avoid it?

I'm playing with ripples in today's drawing. I also started an experiment with Yupo on aluminum.

At first, It looked amazing. But then it didn't. I've got a lot of research and experimenting to do, if I want to continue working with Yopo.

Here's another from the archive (probably 2020). By scoring and folding this yupo paper it creates ridge 'high points'. It's so satisfying to watch the linework slowly reveal itself as you continually plot 1mm lower each pass.
