61% of Social Security applicants are denied after their first application. I am now on the second appeal, when 49% of remaining applicants are approved, and have hired a lawyer (disability lawyers are only paid if they win your case).

Yes, the copay was $50, as the insurance card claimed. The tests and “coinsurance” brought it to $1269.60. I was making sure my severe and rapidly worsening nerve pain at 3a wasn’t part of a stroke or other neurological issue that would have ended up costing the insurance company way more.
