We live in #Angus, #Scotland near the #DightyBurn on the eastern edge of #Dundee. It’s been very deep and flooded the last few days due to #StormBabet. I was worried about dipper birds my husband sees every week there. Fortunately he saw loads today. We live in #Brechin, which has been severely affected by Storm #Babet, though we are fortunate enough to live on a hill and not near the river. We did go and deliver supplies to the school today, where those evacuated from their homes have been put up.
Please, oil and gas corporations, tell us again how #ClimateChange isn’t really that important or urgent. We need a #GreenTransition to address the #ClimateEmergency.

If my local forecast is correct we won't get the worst of the rain here in the West but the wind speed is gonna average 50mph all day tomorrow. So the bike will be staying at home and it will be bus for me tomorrow. -
Heading out into storm #Babet, #RRSSirDavidAttenborough departed from Portsmouth this afternoon to begin the long journey South. Intention is to find shelter further along the coast rather than burn unnecessary fuel battling the 8-10 m waves presently in the Western Approaches.
