Teasel turning – that point in the season of summer, when teasels lose their floral colours, dry out and become an ideal object to be placed on antique seats and sofas in National Trust properties.
A sort of tongue-in-cheek reminder that the item of furniture is there to be looked at and admired, rather than be sat upon.
Seriously though, they're quite stunning up close! -
