Somehow MacPorts was using UID 501 on my work MBP. I was completely unaware of this until I tried to enable Filtr by @mipstian. Lordy, what mission fixing that was. Seems to all be running ok now, though. #Phew

So the new floor is down at #CastleCannon, and yet I spent most of the day watching the fitter like a hawk, crapping myself that he would damage the flat network cable I have, weaving in and out of the nooks and crannies.

At one point, he asked me to test it. I turned the telly on and "No Network found" 😱

The silly sod had pulled the RJ45 out of the 4-port switch behind the TV! #Phew

@auxonic had to emergency-buy a new fridge a couple of months ago, sales people said they all have wifi … the Frigidaire I ordered from Costco does not.. #phew

For decades I've been tracking my daughters flights to/from places. Today, a flight from Marrakesh to Manchester indicated that it was at 5000 ft near London. I became a bit concerned. When it got down to 0ft at Chertsey- I became very concerned!!! 5 mins later - daughter messages to say they'd landed at Manchester! #Phew Anyone else ever seen such a discrepancy before using flight trackers?

I had a disk fail in a #ZFS mirror. I removed the bad disk from the pool, and then swapped in a new drive.

(For reasons, I didn't just swap the disk and use a replace command)

I then, mistakenly, used the 'add' command which made a stripe, not a mirror.

Ugh.

With solid backups in place, I threw caution to the wind and tried to 'remove' the 2nd disk.

Took a while, but ZFS moved the data to the other disk and then I was able to add (attach...) it correctly and remake the mirror.

Ik durfde het niet aan mijn ouders te vertellen, maar mijn dappere nichtje deed dat wel. Die man is nog thuis bij mijn ouders komen praten, maar werd toch ontslagen door zijn baas. Hij had zelf ook jonge kinderen. #narigheid #phew

Seems I didn’t have to do that much to get my app to look ok with Liquid Glass. It doesn’t really use tab views which helped. The toolbars (navigation bars) look totally different, but I mainly had to delete lots of old UIAppearance code and some minor tweaks. No crashes or anything that looked otherwise weird. I had feared it would be a bigger job to fix.
