  1. Now that Hollywood has 'done' the Odyssey, let's see them taken on an even more bonkers set of mythical legends and adapt the Mabinogion. Good luck explaining THAT stuff to a sceptical public with limited attention span...

  3. It's 21ºC in here, which seems like it should be warm enough, but it's also 78% humidity, which means I'm basically in a cold bath. I feel sweaty AND too cold. Gross.

  4. Mae hwn yn ddatblygiad gwych. Yn fy marn i, er bod rheilffordd newydd yn bwysig yn y pen draw, mae angen newid agwedd tuag at y coets. Mewn gwledydd fel Sbaen, mae'r diwylliant bysiau pellder hir yn llawer mwy positif.

  6. @MiaMarkTwo @TCMuffin Well I think our town is safe anyway. It seems to be a very large fire, very very far off. The map shows the direction I am looking in in the photos, straight towards Eryri National Park which is about 35 miles off. That's where the wind seems to be carrying the smoke from

Oh and btw, who turned the bloody thermostat down? It's cold up here today and I didn't even bring a jumper!

  8. My local river, which receives water from a large fraction of Anglesey's land surface, is at record lows, highlighting the fact that, here, we've had no rain for weeks.

The green block is the typical level range for this river at this time of year.

  10. A lovely cameo appearance in a 1276 letter from Edward I's court where, like a wave that passes, only to fade again forever, we learn about Gruffudd, son of a man known as 'Budr i Hossan' (Welsh, literally: 'Dirty his Hose').

Other than Gruffudd being sufficiently important in having to submit to fealty in respect of Edward and the guarantees relating to this, it seems we will never know anything more about Budr i Hossan. Which is a real shame!
