I'm positive that #Forfar has its own microclimate and that's why the @metoffice never gets the weather forecast right. Rain at 3pm #today they said, so I go out for my #WeeWalk at 12.30 and at 1pm it starts raining!

There's a bleachfield (communal area to for people to lay fabric out to bleach in sunlight. Now a car park)
And a Myre (bogland/marsh, as in 'mired').
Notice how church, post office and school buildings are shown in a darker hatching.

Huge relief is hearing today that I'm permanently excused from #jury service on medical grounds. I had an unexpected call last week to serve on a jury, but with a #progressive #neuro disease leaving me largely #bedbound and #sleeping up to 18 hours per day I was totally unfit for this. Being in #Scotland I needed a medical letter/certificate from my #GP supporting this. All sorted now, and confirmed today by the #Forfar #court. Thanks so much. Big relief. #juryDuty #juryService #Law #Courts #NHS
