Post-punk quartet from GhentEosine, from Liège and Ghent, are a quartet of young twenty-somethings who, as one of Europe’s most promising indie acts, are knocking on the door of an international breakthrough. They make music at the intersection of post-punk, indie rock, emo and neo-psych, with Elena Lacroix’s intoxicating voice as the unifying factor. At the end of 2024, the EP ‘Liminal’ was released, with the closing track and live favourite ‘Digitaline’ serving as its highlight and a perfect synthesis of what the band stands for: intensity, frenzied guitars and drums, shifts in tempo and dreamy vocal lines that beg you to turn up the volume.
Over the past year, Eosine have built up an impressive, almost sacred live reputation, with top-class performances at festivals including Dour, Lokerse Feesten and Into The Great Wide Open, as well as an extensive support tour in the Netherlands with the Australian garage rockers Psychedelic Porn Crumpets. In 2026, the band will channel that live energy into new music, heralding even more compelling shows and a debut album. The first single, ‘And Now It Shows’, offers a glimpse of what’s to come: dreamy vocals interspersed with raw emotion, all topped off with addictive post-punk, emo and a touch of glam drama.

No presente, o Movimento das Mulheres Curdas enfrenta várias dificuldades no suposto processo de integração forçado pelo governo Sírio sobre a Administração Autónoma do Nodeste da Síria (Rojava). É a vontade deste governo Sírio a de que todas as estruturas autónomas de mulheres sejam abolidas e a de que as mulheres perdam os seus direitos, dos quais usufruem actualmente em Rojava. Isto ao invés de os apoiar e os expandir para toda a Síria. O Movimento das Mulheres Curdas rejeita a perda de direitos e de organizações autónomas e lançou a campanha internacional @women_defend_rojava como forma de obter apoio internacional e realizar pressão sobre o governo Sírio, e sobre a União Europeia, que é cúmplice do reconhecimento deste governo, o qual é constituído pelas várias facções militantes da Al-*Q* a e do 1s1s na Síria, e que reproduz e promove as suas políticas repressivas.
Esta formação em formato de seminário visa apresentar e repercutir em Portugal a campanha WDR e criar um contacto directo entre as participantes e as companheiras das estruturas do Movimento das Mulheres Curdas, abordando as temáticas da história do movimento, a sua situação actual, as formas em que podemos apoiar a sua luta, e quais as pontes que se podem criar entre as lutas em Portugal e no Curdistão.
Teremos uma chamada com companheiras da @internationalist.commune , espaço para perguntas e respostas com as companheiras, e reflexões do movimento internacionalista sobre a situação actual em Rojava e na Síria. Haverá também uma actividade de reflexão conjunta a ser realizada entre as participantes, sobre lutas revolucionárias e o significado de solidariedade. Teremos material de informação sobre o Movimento de Liberdade Curdo para distribuir durante o seminário e outro material que pode ser adquirido mediante donativo para apoiar a campanha WDR.
