  1. Beams

This photo has been horribly overworked, I admit it, but there is method in my madness.

This was taken looking almost directly upwards from below a KP7 auroral display. It was quite cloudy but the aurora was so bright that it cast a shadow at my feet.

When I first processed the image, I didn't think there was much of interest in it. More editing revealed these fabulous green beams, seeming to disappear into infinity.

  6. Well, i experienced some issues and I was not able to check into my flight back home. But I like to think that it was fate forcing this to happen so that I got to experience one of my greatest dreams.

It was subtle to the naked eyes, but visible enough to notice it from my hotel window and to push me outside despite starting to develop a cold

  7. Aurora Borealis: Rare red and pink lights seen across Europe from Ireland to Austria.

From Tuesday night into early Wednesday, a powerful G4 geomagnetic storm made the Aurora Borealis visible far beyond its usual range.

Skywatchers across Europe, from Ireland and the UK to Poland and Austria, caught rare glimpses of the northern lights.

  11. Another photo of the #AuroraBorealis #NorthernLights in the sky last night.
#LongExposure photo taken with my #Xiaomi #RedmiNote10Pro with stock camera app, and cropped and post-processed in #googlePhotos to make the colours pop a bit more. Nice to see a bit of pink in there too.

  12. Looking for recommendations for #tripod and tripod-adapter solutions for my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro phone, preferably something I don't need to remove my wallet case for to use.
Currently using said wallet case to sort of balance my phone at an angle to capture #auroraBorealis aka #northernLights, but the case itself isn't very solid and only has a couple of angles where it stays in place, and it relies on having a flat surface to place it on.
