I used Claude to turn the Provenance game emulator into a Wipeout 2097 launcher. I got it to strip out all but the PSX emulator. I bundled the BIOS files and ISO into the package. When you open the app, you see the Playstation boot screen. It’s kind of like when Lucasarts re-released their old adventure games by hosting them in ScummVM. Anyway it’s super cool, thank you for listening.

CW: ladybird browser, css (unrelated to politics/drama)
welp, x86css is no longer a chrome-only demo
as of today, ladybird became the second browser to implement enough css to be able to run my css-only x86 emulator!!
i guess it is a real browser now!
(as an aside - i am aware of the politics and stuff around ladybird, which is why i don't generally feel comfortable talking about the browser publicly. at the same time i do find the project exciting and impressive, and i think it's worth it to share the news this time.)

What's the best way to go about testing a graphical program on big endian? (i.e. silly stuff like running a headless test suite on a Wii won't work, would need a proper Linux desktop environment) Would it be to emulate some Linux in QEMU, and which big endian architecture would be the least slowest to get running - I know there are both old PPC versions that are big endian as well as s390x. Supposedly ARM can operate in big endian mode which seems interesting if that were to be possible on regular Android phones (like virtualisation) but seems extremely unlikely.

How to test high contrast mode?
In Chrome or Edge DevTools, open the Rendering panel and set "Emulate CSS media feature forced-colors" to active. Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P and "forced" gets you there faster.
Remember it's still an emulation so before release it's good to check on Windows itself, in Night sky (dark) and Desert (light). If you test both themes you will catch all hard-coded colors that might have slipped through if you tested just one of them.
