Finished my longest water fast yet - due to bad math I thought it was going to be 36 hours, but turned out to be 40.
Vivid dreams returned last night and keto flu hit bad this morning, so I ended the fast with gentle protein. Was spiritually rewarding, fruitful, and challenging.
Yesterday the month of Toxcatl ended, and the confessionary is closed again for another year, which was the occasion for the fast.

Thinking more on the #dysphoria discussion, one of the things transfeminine people seem to forget is that, no, #TransMen and #TransMasculinity was not visible until very, very recently.
My experience of not knowing that it was possible to "be a dude" is a direct result of that invisibility. Meanwhile, trans women have been in the public awareness for decades. It was a last option for many, but still an option. A big part of the trans masc experience of dysphoria is/was that namelessness.

Just saw someone once again stating the "proven" link between animal protein consumption and higher mortality rates by citing a study that actually says, in its own abstract:
"These associations were confined to participants with at least one of the unhealthy lifestyle factors based on smoking, heavy alcohol drinking, overweight or obesity, and physical inactivity, but not evident among those without any of these risk factors."

One of my goals is to localize my #Mexican #cooking - instead of importing a bunch of stuff that goes into "real" #MexicanFood, especially during the winter, I want to get better at working with what grows here in the #PNW.
