I finally managed to get to copy to my (after adding to the settings : Client_Id and Client_secret keys to my config). Then wrote a file to run that automatically, via a that I wrote. Being pleased with all that. Went 10 kms in the rain ☔ as yesterday's 9 kms wasn't enough all in one day 🤣🤣

  6. Bullseye installed kernel version 5.10.0-23-arm64
    installed kernel version 6.2.10-1-aarch-64-ARCH

Le Debian kernel version is prehistoric 😩

  7. Have now got Debian Bullseye 64 setup on my running just nicely.
Also have done a SD Flash with 64 (which I prefer), installed it using terminal line by line, and got that working just fine as a test system.
Using the setup though as couldn't get usb dongle, to install on Arch. Sadly all is done for them to run on Debian. 😢 Been a busy couple of days 😁

  8. Installed #ArchLinux last night, went back to #Kubuntu this morning.

#archinstall crashed several times detecting drives, and formatting partitions. Once installed, logging in with #KDE Plasma using #Wayland would just return to the login screen, so had to use Plasma with #X11 instead. The KDE integration for #pacman hasn't been updated in years, which means I would have to manually check for updates in the CLI each day. I have #NoTime to tweak this much.

  11. Despite using Arch, Gentoo and a whole buncha distros out there, I'm very much a dumb idiot in person. I can't even follow simple instructions when they're relayed to me by mouth.

I swear I have my ears cleaned thoroughly every year by a real doctor but idk. There's prolly something in my hearing comprehension that's just "defective", lol.

Maybe becoming a bear decreased my hearing comprehension by 10 points, where back then it might be 77, now it's 67.

  12. May 11, 2022? I thought it was May 15, 2022, lol

But anyway, yeah I've been an Arch user for 4 years now. Had I went to college and just locked on, I'd have a bachelor's degree by now, but it's ok. Lemme just flex my inner Arch elitist for once cos it has been a LOOONG while

If you used some AI to help you fix your problems on Arch Linux, then you never really used Arch at all, so go back to Windows or MacOS, tryhard idiot !

  14. How do I troubleshoot a black screen on #KDE #Plasma? I am able to launch apps just fine, but:
    - the desktop is all black (no start menu, global menu etc, and the desktop background isn't getting rendered)
    - the window decorations are HUGE.

Is there any easy way to debug this? I had initially suspected this was due to my using
#Stylix on stock #archlinux, but no, disabling it didn't change a thing (apart from the theme).

I do have custom desktop effects and window decorations installed; so I suspect that
might be the issue. How do I disable them if systemsettings does not launch (for some weird reason)?

It's definitely not a kernel issue (I've tried on the stock Arch kernel and the CachyOS kernel), and it certainly isn't a graphics issue (stock mesa etc, and I don't have a dGPU on this machine).

Will send screenshots in a while. Any and all help appreciated! Thanks in advance. Toots and boosts welcome.
