Can anyone recommend a place online where I can buy a good heated kotatsu that would ship to Canada?

It gets cold AF in the prairies in winter and this would be a game changer.

Today is a day I would kill to have a Kotatsu table at home. I wanted to go back to the Dojo on Monday but now the retreating flu made way for nasty coughing 🙄

Maybe some easy Subburi at home closely watching my pulse instead... We will see...

I just want to snuggle up under a Kotatsu drink tea, read, sleep, eat and repeat.

#Kang 🇨🇳, #ondol 🇰🇷 and #kotatsu 🇯🇵 are very efficient heating solutions.

I was genuinely surprised when I tried an ondol room in South Korea.
The building was old, I could feel the cold air passing through the window and yet I slept very comfortably on that heated floor.

Things to be trankful for today with sub zero temperatures outside in #Scotland and the house decidedly on the cool side - not having to go into the office, but instead snuggling up with my laptop at the #kotatsu ♨️👍

The Scotland yellow weather warning for ice/snow was right - first snow flakes falling. ❄️

In semi-related news eldest has left the #kotatsu on overnight three times (ooos), but has renewed their interest in knitting by starting a hat 🧶

@fdroidorg There seems to be a problem with F-Droid's latest version of the #Kotatsu app.

It has been 2 years since I last went skiing. I used to go ~4 times a year before my daughter was born, but couldn't go frequently anymore.

We had very good weather for this first day. Cloudy or sunny depending on the side of the mountain. Fine snow falling most of the day.

The kotatsu at the hotel after the onsen was very welcome.
We had some extra time before dinner, so we had an apéritif!

Hey folks,

I'd like to get a kotatsu (or any other heated table) to a Polish home. I'm struggling to find any importers to the EEA, and I'm afraid to pick random items off alibaba because of the fire risk. What are my options?

Bonus points: I'd be happiest just buying a heater element to convert an existing coffee table, rather than shipping a whole table.
