Hi :) der #tray icon fehler von #signal #signaldesktop ist in version 8.25.0 zumindest unter gtk+ #desktops ( z.b. #linuxmint #cinnamon )
endlich behoben. :) dies betrift m.e. die nativ .deb version.

After a long time, I'm back on running #KDE #Plasma on my laptop...Ha.. and the kind of relief I have with the desktop tuning, can't be spoken in words... I was running #xfce for quite a while (because kde was very sluggish on my laptop due to resources - rather lack of resources :-) - ), but xfce started giving me issues of late, which pushed me to try #cinnamon. But that experiment just lasted for 2 days. I was so pissed off while trying to configure my panel.. decided to scrap it and go back to KDE. Am I happy now.... OF COURSE!!!

Hi :) #signal #verschlimmbessert die tray minimierung unter #xserver blockiert das die wiederanzeige.. da hat die #endkontrolle der #entwicker (mal)wieder nicht funktioniert.

My last laptop has been linuxified. A #Lenovo #ThinkPad #T14 Gen 1. I got it all Windows last year for fairly little money. And this morning I gave a new driver for the #MX330 a go. It was worth it. I hardly ever use the way too small screen, but with an external moni it works great for not too demanding tasks.

Now I remember one of the other reasons I don't like Gnome, because they hate doing things the normal way. So I kinda discovered a good solution to my entertainment computer idea, I can do a desktop launcher, complete with an appropriate icon… On my Mint system here, but can't do anything like that Gnome. I mean I expected desktop wasn't an option, Gnome doesn't allow anything on the desktop, but I was surprised that I can't drag a URL to a folder, or save it to favorites, the app menu or anywhere. I still have ideas, but that's annoying that they decided to re-invent the wheel.

To all GNU/Linux users:

Are you still using #X11, or have you or your desktop environment already switched to #Wayland ?

Bei meinem Laptop mit #Linux #Mint und #Cinnamon Desktop wird der Akku schnell leer, auch wenn er nicht benutzt wird. Stimmt es, dass der Ruhemodus/Hibernation nur funktioniert mit Swap-Partition, nicht mit Swap-File?

Die Infos und Anleitungen sind da mit den Begrifflichkeiten (z.B. Standby, Bereitschaft, usw.) uneinheitlich.
