I have been hearing some concerns about Linux Mint's ability to maintain the Cinnamon desktop.
As in they don't have the resources and developers to manage the conflicts with the newer GTK versions and keeping up with what needs to be done in Cinnamon.
Do you think those concerns are overblown? Or legitimate?
In any case, I am glad that I considered XFCE as an alternative to Cinnamon and I am having a good time exploring and customizing XFCE now.

Nouvel outil de capture d'écran : Intégration d'un outil propre à #Cinnamon qui permet de recadrer directement, de choisir ses écrans et de mieux gérer les ombres des fenêtres.
Améliorations visuelles : Les boîtes de dialogue sont plus propres, déplaçables et n'effacent plus le fond. Le thème Mint-Y s'arrondit légèrement sur les listes et les cadres pour un rendu plus moderne.

My 2016's Asus UX305C operates on #LinuxMint #Cinnamon since last september, all is well.
Today, my touchpad stopped working (the pointer stays in the middle of the screen) when the session is open.
It still works fine on the authentification panel, so I suppose it is a software issue.
The keyboard works fine, and I could not try with an external usb mouse yet.
Any ideas ? -
J'ai des geeks ou pas dans mon réseau étendu : mon Asus UX305C (2016) tourne depuis septembre sous #LinuxMint sans le moindre soucis, et aujourd'hui, le pavé tactile a cessé de fonctionner (bloqué au centre) dans la session active.
Comme il fonctionne normalement sur la fenêtre d'authentification, je penche pour un souci d'ordre logiciel...
Le clavier fonctionne tout le temps, je n'ai pas encore pu tester en branchant une souris usb externe.
Des idées ?
